Re: Looking for daco limbs

Pretty sure I just saw one on ebay in "used crossbows" you might have to go through all pages. They come up for sale every now and then, usually pretty cheap.

Re: Excalibur limbs

I've heard rumor of either a new more powerful bow, or limb set to come from Excal. IF its true, it only makes sense they would not fit any existing Excals. Market trend is for lighter, more compact and faster bows. Even Poe Lang is getting with program and offer 225lbs limbs on a 13.5" draw ge...

Re: Excalibur limbs

98% of all Excal owners feel the same way you do Hester. For the other 2% who are wanting something more from their bow, the limbs and new performance do help put a big smile on their faces. Not a big deal to most. Someone had an aftermarket trigger on here a while back as well I believe. Some were ...

Re: Excalibur limbs

I ain't no Eng. nor nutten but the more you shorten a limb length the stouter it becomes. If'en you wer to take 2" off each side. Reckon the poundage would bump up 75-90 lbs. That would make a vixen stouter than the E'max or Equinox. Think how strong they would be tryin to cock wid a rope cock...

Re: Reverse draw recurve crossbow

The reverse draw bow or inswinger was developed by Romans a couple of thousand years ago, but were torsion not limb powered. Here is a link to a full sized "recurve" reverse draw torsion machine, the design is based on an iron frame found in an archeological dig in Orsova Romania. http://w...

Re: upgrades to bow before deer season?

I have found a product called Silent Running I would like to try. Used to quiet vibrations in heavy duty industrial equipment. Vid on company website shows it quiet machinery substantially.

Unsure of how to apply it properly to inside of barrel but I bet it would fairly well.

In the words of Eleanor Roosavelt back in 1936:

"America is all about speed...hot, nasty, bad-ass speed"

Truly a woman ahead of her time LOL.

Re: flat nocks versus half moon nocks ?

Horton does not glue nocks in so they can be pulled out. Cheap plastic nocks good for lower poundage bows. Use of aluminum nocks properly seated in place should not cause a prob. Firenock makes different profiles. parker sells some nice.

Re: New trigger system

Hey Newtrigger. For the hunting crowd most triggers are just fine. The target shooters seem to be a little more discriminating and maybe a better focus group for feedback. Hi5 and cpa is right, the trigger needs to be OEM to make any money (licencing). You would have to sell a hell of a lotta units ...

Re: Perth western australia.. crossbows are now (BANNED)

Hi Blackjack.

What can you tell me about a Chriss Gunn from Gunn Engineering (target and medieval crossbows) reputation wise? From their website they seem firmly established. It doesnt sound like they plan on slowing down anytime soon despite the new laws?
