Re: Short Arms…..Bad Stance

Have you tried laying your hand partially under the trigger gaurd, sort of like this gentleman is doing with his rifle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h11HE5Viuuw&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PL8596B6DB87D1004D This gentleman also supports the x-bow at the trigger gaurd: http://...

Re: xbow sight

I am with you about peep sights. I prefer them for my needs; I don't need a scope to hunt right now (only 35 and eyes are decent if not great), and I hate the clunky feeling of a large scope on my weapon. I would be very interested in your review of the sights in question, as it sounds as though you...

Re: xbow sight

I use the factory sights and they work well for me. Have never tired the Bad River sights; I figure that for the price, I might as well invest in a scope. If I took shots further than thirty yards, it might be an issue, but I don't do that, so no big deal.

Re: About to buy an Aixom... question and I welcome input

I think the axiom is the most visually stunning bow I have ever seen. The black rail and the green camo is just awesome. I read a review in field and stream saying the bow was very durable and accurate. I don't know what to tell you about the scope. I'm sure it's fine for archery distances. The bow ...

Re: 100 yards!

That's actually some incredible shooting. There is no way I could do that right now. Were you using a rest or just shooting off hand? Phenominal either way.

I am sorry for your loss. From your pictures, it seems as though you have given Spike the best possible life available.

Re: Barebow shooting

Someone is bored stiff! By the way, what is a gap? I am making traditional bows for kids and a decent sight would help them a lot. Happy tinkering, Hank Gap shooting, it's focusing on the target and seeing the arrow in the shooter's periphery vision. There are different techniques or names fo...

Barebow shooting

Does anyone shoot their excaliburs without the aid of any sights at all? I used to gap shoot a traditional bow, and I wonder how well this might work with an excalibur as well. Anyone doing this or has anyone tried it?

Re: bolts vs arrows

I don't think it matters. People who don't want Crossbows used during bow season don't care. They are not going to look up the rich history of the arbalest in Ancient China or Medieval Europe. They have made up their minds, and they will believe whatever they choose to believe. Yes, I think it's sad...

Stupid Question about Dissipator Pads/Bars

I need to get another string, I saw some wear on the string near the tip today and I am worried about a dry fire while the bow is at rest. I would like to destring the bow, but I understand I need to remove certain items first. Do I need to remove the dissipator pads only, or do I need to remove the...

Re: Outdoor / Indoor Ranges NY, NJ, Long Isalnd

Thanks, I will check out Willow Park. I checked out some parks in Long Island, but they don't allow X-Bows for whatever reason.
