Re: OT: Naughty or Nice?

Wife and I don’t usually exchange gifts…this year I treated us both to manicure and pedicures…at 72 I’ve never indulged in one or the other…figured it was time to make my big ol ugly size 14s a little less ugly. Sitting in the massage chair for an hour and was worth the cost alone! We both buy what...

Re: Vertical Bow Hunters Help

Whenever i run into people like that i just tell them
when you can't draw your bow anymore, just stay home in your
rocking chair and wish you could still hunt,
(OR) get you a crossbow and stay in the game :eusa-shifty:

I guess I could blame it on old age, BUT ! that won't work, I bought the Wicked Ridge crossbow thinking it came with a crank,  Well it don't :roll maybe I should read the fine print a little closer :eh: But I can still cock it with the built in rope cocker, it,s only 165 lbs...

Re: Crazy Crossbow speeds

I'm in favor of advancing and making things better but there is a cost. Crossbow, longbow and muzzle loader hunters used to have a certain charm about them because they used more primitive weapons and were perceived to be more skillful. That charm is disappearing with technological advances. Someda...

Re: On a VERY sad note...

About 40 miles east of me right on the Louisiana border an 11 year old girl was killed in a "hunting accident" over the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Harrison County Sheriff's Office said that a father accidently shot his daughter with a rifle about 17:15 or 5:15pm. Life Flight was called, bu...

Re: Very Important, don't forget

First year in many that Thanksgiving dinner wasn’t at my house with us supplying most. Oldest daughter hosted this year. While it was a real relief not having to try to get many dishes ready and hot at same time, I realized last night that I won’t get to enjoy the leftovers as much either.Shazam! R...

I don't know about your state, but in PA I believe it is illegal to use one for both deer and turkeys.

Re: Is the rut on in your neck of the woods?

Bucks have been tending does here in my part of Missouri for about a week now, I don't hunt afternoons anymore so I have been sitting on my front porch watching the bucks chase doe's and has been a show for sure, seen some riubs but not any scrapes yet, seen one buck do a licking branch last night, ...
