Re: Two Months and 7 Days
Thanks everyone. Still trying. Had the Axiom with me tonight but darn nothing was close enough. As Frisky said, this has been quality time.

Two Months and 7 Days
Not a crossbow harvested deer, but after lots of time in the woods this year I decided it was time to harvest a mature Doe. Was hunting with a Savage 10 ml II, and wish it had been with the Axiom. Still time to get the Excal back out in the woods. The shot was taken from around 30 yds. Humane kill t...

Re: True confession
Yup papa bear and one shot we got it going here. Like the time I watched a Doe with twins that was letting them nurse and showing them to eat grass in the spring while I was at the club shooting. Had to wait abound 20 minutes for them to get clear of the 100 yd back stop so I could shoot. Or when wa...

Re: True confession
Papa bear I have the same feelings each and every time that I go to the woods. Be it for Deer hunting, small game, or just to be in the woods enjoying everything that i see and hear. Many times I carry my rifle or hand gun, or both to hunt small game. But, never fire a shot. Many times I have carrie...

Re: FOC question...
Firebolts and a 125 grain field point or broadhead works out to 50yds for me. I agree with wabi. Shoot it and if it works--it ain't broke. Just remember not to shoot at the same spot twice without first removing the previously fired arrows from the target. :D 50 yds was only accuracy testing I would...

Re: age
63 and wondering, HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? Life is good. Before getting out of bed in the morning check for pulse, then blow on a mirror to see if it fogs up. If both are present it's gonna be a good day.

Re: Ordered a Phoenix
welcome airborne. I am 63 and had some of the same concerns. After following this forum for a couple of years and learning of the Excal reliability compared to the other brands out there I knew what I wanted to buy, an Excal. My only concern was how much draw weight I could work with as time passed....
