I'm not sure where this anti crossbow,(almost hatred), comes from. It can only be ignorance. It's not like we can make 300 yard kill shots on deer or shoot 400 bolts per minute, we still have to adhere to the same "archery shots", i.e. no branches in the way 40 to 50 yard maximum distance ...

Unless you have some extremely long fingers I don't think it's possible to get one in the bite when shooting off hand. I also lost a turkey last year with a bolt cutter, may have shot it to low. I found blood and feathers, after tracking the bird flew out of a tree and out of sight. I'm going to try 3 blade rages this spring.

Not to sound like I know everything about everything but Boo is right. Parallax isn't even a topic of discussion inside of 400 yards. Parallax becomes important when you are shooting at what a normal person would call extreme ranges.
