Re: Anyone Know About "Sail" Hunting Stores?
I know that a number of employees who worked at LeBaron are now working at Sail. Not sure if the pay is better or if the management they liked is now there, but there's a few that I've recognised for sure. I still love going to my local store better. Picked up a new pair of IrishSetter Elk Tracker (...

Re: tree stand question
IMO the Controlled Descent System is the best way to get back on the ground. I’ve never used a climbing stand so for me the idea of not having a ladder or 15 steps to get to a stand is a little odd to say the least – again that’s just because I’ve never used one. The key to the harness is the length...

Re: 15 year old killed by another hunter
That is sad on a whole other level :( :( I cannot recall where it happen, Pens. or Vermont, but saw it quickly on the news on Saturday or Sunday morning that a hunter had been shot and killed by a member of their hunting group who after realizing what had happened and seeing his deceased frei...

Re: Anyone Know About "Sail" Hunting Stores?
Should also add that Sail carries a pretty extensive inventory of fishing gear, camping gear, tons of clothing, footwear & then some more - so it's not just a hunting store.

Re: outfitters ontario
Be it in Ontario, Quebec, Yukon or in BC doesn't really matter - going with an outfitter will be expensive - no way around it!! And if you don't pay, someone else will - the offer/demand isn't on our side on this one i'm affraid  That being said, a good number of variables will affect the price...

Re: Anyone Know About "Sail" Hunting Stores?
Where I also bought by Excal - saved the HST tax so that was a no brainer. Also got my VERY nice Plano hardcase there as well, same deal. For those who haven't looked online yet, the link is http://www.sail.ca .Pretty extensive catalogue & I know that they have more in the store then what's list...

Re: Early Xmas gift
Congrats on your new best freind.
There's nothing like the love & attention that a dog will give to its owners. We have an 8 1/2 year old female Boxer that would do anything for us. Love that puppy (she still has the energy of one let me tell ya).
Cheers

Re: How not to get invited back to hunt a property.
I have to say that I'm really not that supprise. There are A LOT of hunters out there that simply don't give a rat's a$$ about anything else but getting their tag filled. I see it all the time, although very, very rarely in the bow season (I'm also a rifle hunter so I know!). I assume that the owner...

Re: Large Game Hunters!
by CanuckBen » Sat Nov 19, 2011 6:37 am This goes way...way..(way) beyond the range of xbow hunts, but has anyone here had the opportunity to draw a mountain goat hunting tag. I understand that they are very hard to get and take years in multiple draws to ever come close to being able to go on a hu...

Re: Large Game Hunters!
Hey Roland I am french yes - thank you for the compliment. Being fully bilingual opens up a lot of doors! It's getting more and more expensive to hunt as a non-resident. A Quebec non-resident Moose tag is up to $349 now - compared to $57; Deer n-r tags are $279 - compared to $50, Caribou $340 - comp...
