What is the best serving thread for a crossbow string.I have a serving tool with the old glossy black(plastic looking thread) it is about 20yrs. old I don't think this would work.I am going to check with the local shop & see what they use.Is the thread the same for vertical bows? where is a good...

how long for Excal string to stretch
I put a new excal string on a new to me Vortex.took all twists out, string is still at top line.I shot it about 15 times.The bow is shooting good.Maybe nothing to worry about.

Aluminum arrows
Do Aluminum arrows loose there spine after shooting them allot.(life span)? I think I want to try Al arrows but I am new to crossbows. I just got a new to me Vortex.It came with three fire-bolts.Thanks for any comments about arrows!
