Re: changing set up
Does the S5 make a difference you can tell? I was thinking of getting some, didn't know if it was all hype.

Re: Best Birthday EVER!
Thanks everybody, I do have a question. My grandfathers buck has dark antlers and mine has bright antlers. I have asked others and was told it was stain from sap that turns some darker. Also heard it was how quick the buck got the velvet off, the quicker the lighter they are. Heck I don't know, mayb...

Re: Redemption... I think. ??? First crossbow deer. Got h
Sometimes I'm so excited about shooting a deer and being that close to one that the crosshairs are moving all over the place. I have had clean misses because of it, check the sights and they are dead on. Not saying that's what happened, but it has happened to me. With a deer on the ground I wouldn't...

Re: R U a Good Hunter or need a Fast Bow
Sounds like the stuff I hear from the bow hunters about me hunting with a crossbow. I don't need any bow slow or fast, I can build snares. I 've got a friend who builds his own long bows and his own arrows and he actually kills deer. But I don't feel he is better than me don't know how he feel...

Re: be careful
Hit my thumb once while teaching Boy Scouts . It is amazingly hard to maintain your composure when your thumb is throbbing . :) Glad the arrow didn`t do more damage . it was a good thing I was not with a scout troop, cause they would have hear plenty of swear words. My nail is black and sor...

Re: looks like a busy weekend ahead
I like to can mine with beef broth and add a 2" square of green pepper and a small wedge of onion to each jar. The results are stellar, I will sometimes just open a jar and eat it cold. Would love to learn how to do summer sausage.

That could have been bad. I hit the tip of my thumb with the string about a week ago. Thing still hurts. Don't think I'll do that again.

Best Birthday EVER!
I got the best birthday gift I could ever ask for. I took yesterday day off to hunt with my dad and my grandfather. My grandfather is well into his 80s but he still likes to get out and hunt. We all had successful hunts, but the best part was that granddad took a nice 3 1/2 year old 8 point with his...
