Kind of like the saying, a 9mm may expand but a .45 will never shrink. I've used fixed blades for years and never had one fail to open.

Re: mountain men

The guy you are talking about is Eustace Conway. He is an interesting person, lived in a teepee for something like 17 years. If you pay close attention to the show you will see that the rifle being sited in is a lever action Marlin and the rifle he is "hunting" with is a Ruger #1. The show...

For the money, probably the best 3x9 out there. I have a friend that has one and it is as good as a VX-III 3.5x10 and a lot less money. Well worth the $400 they ask for them.

Re: Alaska Bear Hunting from air

I was told a hunter can only take one brown bear every four years. Also know of people getting in trouble going hunting in Alaska after flying in an aircraft the same day. So in my opinion instead of using taxpayers money for this, allow certain areas to get more tags or tags more often.

Re: New to Crossbows.

I'm pretty sure you're going to have a hard time getting someone on here to tell you not to go with an Excalibur. That said, probably 99% of the members here stand to gain nothing if you buy one. So why is every one so loyal to this brand? From my experience, Excalibur crossbows have the best trigge...

Re: How's this for hog hunting?

If anyone is interested in a great NV scope look at the M845 it is Gen 2 but is mil-spec. They run between $1700 and $1800. Stay away from about anything ATN makes, it is junk. If they spent the money on turning out a good product as they do in advertising they would have a good product. Night Optic...

Re: How's this for hog hunting?

Thermal scopes will run you $10,000+ I looked at the web sight associated with the video and a one night hunt is $600 per person up to six hunters and a minimum of two hunters. Price drops to $550 a night if you book a two night hunt. No limit on the number of hogs you can take and they provide the...

Re: Buffalo Setup - Easton FMJ bolts

from looking at all three the laser IV, FMJ and 2219 are all about 13 to 14 grains per inch. Any of the three would be a great shaft to build from. I've never shot anything bigger then a black bear with a bow and have only ever used Muzzy heads. Muzzy heads are great but the Trocar tip is not known ...

If this guy actually thinks early 80's crap is still relevant here now...wow! Surprised he can afford the internet if he is that much in the dark. Go away troll.
