Re: Excalibur Bulldog 400
From a matrix 405 mega owner.... its a 3 step process...
Step 1: Skip all the other stuff. Get Black Eagle Zombie slayers with brass inserts from Danny miller.
Step 2: Shoot 150 GN boltcutters.
Step 3: Kill everything you pull the trigger on....

Re: Taming the 405...
Well, BE arrows showed up. my 405 was about 1/2 inch low and left of bull at 20 yds. Chronographed at 379 FPS with the 450 grain arrow. 143 Foot lbs of Kinetic Energy. Talk about Hammer time! The bow is quieter, seems less violent in the hand going off. My wife noticed IMMEDIATLY how much quieter it...

Re: Taming the 405...
ok, so i did some homework and please someone correct me if i'm incorrect. 9.1 GPI X 18 = 163.8 grains for the shaft. Assuming a 110 grain brass insert (heaviest offered) Blazer vanes published @ 6 grains each on there website so 18 grains total Flat nock = 8 grains Field point or broadhead = 150 gr...

Re: Taming the 405...
Well, Today my black eagle Zombie slayers showed up. These arrows are a work of art! from the blazer vanes to the brass inserts. they are rediculously slick looking. Super smooth. I cant believe how stiff they are. But i have a question... my arrows are 18" with brass inserts. how heavy are the...

Re: 405 Matrix
for whatever reason my 405 trigger is the green upgraded trigger. I have shot target triggers from competition airguns to timney triggers, etc. my M405 trigger has NO issues to me, for a hunting trigger its very very very good!

Re: Muck Boot Sale
My father has a pair of woody max muck boots going on 6 years old. other than the light mud staining on them (he doesn't wash them thoroughly after hunts, just rinses them off) they look brand new. 3 years ago i purchased the same pair. Muck Woody Max. good down to like -20 i think. very warm. I lik...

Re: Hunting when raining
Using a q tip and Vaseline you can cover the head of all your fasteners. They won't rust that way. The Vaseline estays soft even sub zero and if you need to remove it or the fastener it's simple. Stays on for a good while too. Every bow and gun I hunt with gets Vaseline on the fasteners and then tho...

Re: String wax
OK Let Me clarify. When I wax the string I apply a little bit. And then rub it into the string until it warms and absorbs in. I don't wax the serving much. There is no buildup past a very thin layer on my string. I didn't wax my first string and it stretched to the point I'm afraid to use it and i a...

String wax
Is there such a thing as too much Dalton wax on my matrix string?
I am realizing I am waxing my string pretty heavily about twice a week... weather it's been shot or not.
Thanks.
