No problem. And thanks to W.Miguire for the original info. I'll report back here when I get the inserts and build / test some arrows.

Re: Aluminun Arrows
That's absolutely awesome... I ordered 2 dozen inserts from them! The ID of a 2219 arrow should be about (22 / 64) - .038... or .30575". I've never measured the exact ID myself, so that's just based on how Easton's numbering system works, and thus might be an approximation. Anyhow, I ordered th...

Re: Aluminun Arrows
I don't consider Easton 2219s to be a lesser arrow. I know the spine is technically weaker than most of the carbons being shot, but arrows built with a 16" 2219 shaft are crazy precise out of a Micro 335. As long as I was using 175 grain heads, that is. Incidentally, I sold that Micro to my nep...

Re: Aluminun Arrows
I have bought a 72 pack of Easton 2219 Magnum arrows a couple times now. Leaving the fletchings and rear plastic flat nock in place, I chopped a bunch of them down to around 16" (I don't recall the *exact* length) and put in a new aluminum insert. I tipped them with (the now-unavailable...

Re: Hard case for Matrix 380?
Do you want to take the limbs / riser off, or leave it fully assembled? I made a case for my Matrix 380 that I'm very pleased with (it may be ugly but it sure functions nicely!), but it'd only be practical to make one if you want to disassemble. There are pictures in this thread: http://www.excalibu...

That scope looks like an aluminum baseball bat! Nice... looking forward to hearing about your testing results.

Re: Is anyone out there using WOOD ARROWS ?
Love to see a video of you shooting them. Sorry if this question is redundant, but are those tips glued on? If so you must have a whole different batch of arrows with broadheads for hunting?

Re: Trigger adjustment
I'd personally start by contacting Excalibur directly for a warranty issue, and see if they'll fix it for free. I've heard they will. Failing that, give Boo or Danny Miller a try.
Good luck,

Re: Micro and 125 grain broadheads
I recently sold my Micro. Before I did though, I cut down some 20" 2219 arrows to 16" and installed aluminum inserts (I didn't even refletch... just left that end of the arrow alone). It was amazing how accurate those arrows were out of the Micro using 175 grain Xbow Tricks. So I really su...

Re: Trigger tech
My TT experience is the same as yours janesy... if I follow through with the trigger pull I don't have issues with the latches bouncing back shut. My opinion though is that the trigger should be designed well enough to not have this issue no matter what. I'ver never heard of an Excal trigger bouncin...

Re: Trigger tech
TT triggers are smooth, light, and have a nice break. But they also have issues with the claws bouncing back shut after the shot, and there was a thread here recently about how the case metal is pretty soft so the scope rail screws are easily stripped out. I've also noticed that the serving separate...

DIY hard case for my ExoMatrix
I've been griping for years about the lack of a decent case for Excalibur crossbows. The cases that do exist are just too bulky imo (especially since I often travel via motorcycle). So a few days ago I got off my tuchus and started making one. Finished today. Total cost was somewhere around the $50 ...

Re: Energy out of a bow
... FWIW Heavy arrow options that work in my Micro at 16" are: GoldTip Nitro Pro (14 GPI), and Easton FMJ (14.1GPI) ... Can I ask what FMJ shaft you're shooting? The ones I'm shooting (with the standard crossbow shaft OD of ~22/64") are 13.7 GPI according to Easton. Their specs might be w...

Re: Energy out of a bow
... If you keep adding arrow weight at a certain point you will lose enough speed that KE will actually will go down but momentum will keep going up. ... I see no reason why this should be true; KE should always increase with a heavier arrow as long as the bow itself doesn't absorb more of the pote...
