Re: Bow Value?
Nog, I would also say somewhere between $400-500 dependent on the buyer. The Ibex was a great xbow I tried to buy a couple over the years after selling the Vortex that I had but they always sold before I could get one. When the Matrix line came out they're still my favorite line to date but it seems...

Re: Morning or afternoon hunts
I prefer the mornings because I love to see everything waking up in the woods including the deer movement, I've killed nice deer both in the morning and the late evening, but when the deer season has been going on for a while the late afternoons just before dark is when the big bucks show up in the ...

Re: Murphy's Law
We're just the opposite the doe days are over and it's buck only. My grandson's are getting out of school early on Friday and we're headed to the woods. We have a new spot picked out and put in a ground blind so hopefully one of them will get one with Paw paw. Hope you get to fill those doe tags. Go...

Re: peace of mind
Is it me or is the best place in the world to be is in the woods? It seems all the care and troubles in this world melt away when I'm in a treestand. Being in Gods creation recharges my batteries especially in todays busy life style. I used to be in retail management and this is the first time in y...

Re: HHA optimizer speed dial at close range
The best way to find out is to set it on 20 yards and then walk up and shoot it under 20 yards and see where the impact changes. I have actually set my HHA dial a little under 20 before when I was shooting between 15-20 yards in a thicket I was hunting. I've never had an issue killing deer under yar...

Re: Compound Crossbows
The Stryker katana 360 was talking to me for a while. But I didn't do anything. The Skorpyd's are pretty awesome, fantastic triggers. I had been wanting to try one of those Katana 360's out for a couple of years so I bought one about a month ago and now I have the best of both worlds a compound cro...

Re: What insert weight for new length bolts?
You should be fine either way 18 grs. is very little difference. I normally try and keep my hunting arrow weight between 415-425 grs. Some people like to go heavier with their arrow and broadhead combinations. How far is your normal hunting distance, if you're hunting distance is 30 yards and in you...

Re: Smokers ?
I have an electric Masterbuilt and like it pretty well. I've had it about 3 years now but just started using it a lot this past year. My son bought it for me for Christmas 1 year and I didn't know anything about smoking meat until I started watching great YouTube videos. I know my smoker isn't a rea...

Re: Sevr Broadheads
I'm sure they'll do fine. I ordered the 2.1 to try but when I put them next to my 3 inch NAP FOC broadhead I could see the difference in the 2 broadheads. I ended up staying with the FOC's because I'd had such great luck with them. The FOC's are 170 gr. but they're like hitting one with an axe. I so...
