Re: Do I Have Enough Turkey Loads?

I switched to 20 ga. about 10 years ago. I ordered some of the new Federal TSS #9 shot for my 20 ga. this week it seems this is the best load out there and even groups well out to 50 yards which is a poke for a 20 ga. I hope I get the new shells in before turkey season to try out but if not I'll be ...

Re: something new for micro 315

I used the Exodus for a couple of years when I was debating on them and the Grizztricks, the Exodus heads did real well I killed a couple of deer with them including a doe that I shot under my stand. I shot the doe through the spine and the broadhead lodged in the shoulder blade, when I finally got ...

Re: What Turkey Call For A Beginner?

I know you've had a lot of great advice so far, I can't use a mouth call but I started out with slate call and been using one ever since. I think with being able to use a mouth you'll be up on the game, because over the years I think I could killed several more birds if I had a mouth call. I've kill...

Don looks like you have another one to break in. I really hope the limbs do the trick that would fix the majority of the complaints that people have. Congrats and send us a review when you get a chance.

Re: Lead free bullets

I used Berger 140 gr. bullets for several years out of my 7mm-08 and even though I had pretty good accuracy I had inconsistent blood trails while recovering deer, I found them all but some of the exit holes were pretty small compared to Nosler Ballistic Tips that I had been using for years. I switch...

Re: First Strut of the season

It's getting close here also, turkey hunting is challenging at times with a crossbow I've been lucky enough to kill 4 with the Excaliburs. Pretty exciting calling in a big Tom Turkey and seeing it put on a show for you. Good luck to everyone as well.

Re: Equinox first Excalibur?

The Equinox is a great crossbow, my 1st Excalibur was a Vortex I liked it a lot and killed several deer with it I would have kept it but the Matrix line came out and I shot a Matrix 380 and I was hooked. I'm sure you'll love it and get many years of service of it. Congrats on your 1st Excalibur.

Re: Bow Value?

Nog, I would also say somewhere between $400-500 dependent on the buyer. The Ibex was a great xbow I tried to buy a couple over the years after selling the Vortex that I had but they always sold before I could get one. When the Matrix line came out they're still my favorite line to date but it seems...

Re: Morning or afternoon hunts

I prefer the mornings because I love to see everything waking up in the woods including the deer movement, I've killed nice deer both in the morning and the late evening, but when the deer season has been going on for a while the late afternoons just before dark is when the big bucks show up in the ...
