Re: Are we nuts?
Here is a little twist on all this speed and power. I'm willing to bet, that in Quebec, in the near future, we will be have to register our crossbows, just like our firearms.

Re: Reducing scent
I steal a pair of women's nylons from one of my daughters or g/f, and stuff the foot of the nylons with cedar branches. Then I wring it a couple times which release the cedars strong smelling oils, and throw it in a big garbage bag with my hunting cloths. it last a loooong time, every time you want ...

Re: Opinions favorite deer cart
I have one like Robs, works well, but now I use my bike.
One thing I found with many of the carts is the super strong petroleum smell from the wheels.

Kev, If Canadian retailers would stop hosing us, id be happy to buy Canadian. Think about it, when our dollar was on par with the US, for quite a few years I might add, do you know of any stores that reduced their prices???? Now, as soon as our dollar went in the crapper, all the stores raised thei...

Re: Black Bear as tabel fair
I had bear twice, and was not a huge fan. Was definitely not a dump eating bear, but there was something I did not like about it, gamey taste maybe. We then made saugae with it, which turned out great tasting.

As nice as their catalogs were, I always found Cabelas a bit pricey.

Don, It's disrespectful, I'd be pissed too.
You have a great reputation as a string maker, anyone wanting a great string should have no issue paying up front.

Re: Is this going overboard?
Same as others, I was my cloths in scent free soap, but then stuff it all in a big bag. I then steal some nylons from my daughters and put a bunch of fresh cedar branches in the nylons, and give it a good twist to release all the oils from the cedar, and add it to the bag. On my way to my stand, I t...

Re: Toxic broadheads
I've had success with them, and yes, they will wreck a target, but they dropped my deer. Had no broken blade issues, but have heard of those issues with people who unknowingly bought FAKE Toxic's.
If the price is to low to believe, your probably buying copycat broadheads

Re: Range Finders
I bought a Simmons with arc compensation for 120.00 at Fleet Farm last year and love it. Sportsmans Guide sells them as well. Got the same one on sale also, for around $80, works just fine at the short distances I need it for. I compared it to my buddies which cost $300 and at 50yards and under we ...
