Re: Matrix 405 or 380?

Hunting and significant target - M380 Primarily hunting - M405 Why not target on 405? Limbs cant take it? Don't worry about poundage pull, I/M 6'1" 220 52 and lift weights and run! Main thing I want is a bow that will not break on me...Middleton cant last a season. On 4th limbs, its high pound...

Matrix 405 or 380?

So I have a Middleton 400ss, limbs just will not hold up on it. Tired of waiting weeks and months for new ones. Thinking of getting a 380 or 405 I really would like to shoot a 400gr arrow around 360-370. Which would you get and why? Draw weight is no issue for me, but want the bow to be trouble free.

Re: Why would anyone want a compound?

I have both, My SZ 380 is so much quieter than my Vortex, faster, much smaller footprint, much better trigger, weight roughly same, accuracy roughly same. So that's why I own a Compound Xbow. I do like my Vortex, but the Bowtech meets more of my requirements and has taken over as my hunter.

Re: Vortex miss fire

My vortex did this a lot with the Flemish string and flat nocks...switched to halfmoons and all has been fine. that's not normal at all... the string should hit in the center of the arrow nock.if not either the arrow or the string is the wrong diameter. i definitly would not switch to half moons Th...

Re: Lighted nocks

Do any of the luminocks require any prep to the end of the nock to prevent string jump (roughing up the ends with sand paper)? I have 3 firenocks on my arrows and last week my string jumped my arrow on the first attempted shot causing a partial dry fire, destroying the string and bending my D-Bars....
