Adjustable stock?
I’m interested in being able to adjust comb height and length of pull on my 380 to get better cheek weld and be able to adjust for extra clothing for cold weather hunts. I have built up the comb with padding to get better eye alignment with the scope and have considered cutting the stock and rig som...

Re: New 2020 Bows!
I don’t see anything that will pry my 380 away from me, picked up a spare set of limbs the other day just in case. Like others have said I have no need for takedown and see it as another option that could eventually cause issue.

Re: IWOM HUNTING SYSTEM
Amythntr is bang on with the YouTube search, lots of information on each. Field and Stream has an article as well that gets into some details that may be beneficial. For me the IWOM being waterproof was huge and having my arms free and not having to unzip and wait for the shot was a better choice. B...

Re: IWOM HUNTING SYSTEM
I had been researching the IWOM vs other gear and after a few years of consideration I picked one up about a month ago and used it last week for a few days. For me and the way I hunt it’s a nice set up and it’s easy to see it was made by a hunter for hunters, my only regret is not getting one years ...

Re: Ozonics
In 2014 Field and Stream had an article about ozone generators vs a drug sniffing dogs nose that I thought had some good controls and some scientific like approach. I own a first generation ozonics and if needed I use it but like others have said hunting the wind and basic scent elimination is key.

Re: Matrix 380 Speed
I'm not shooting the arrows supplied with the package but I can tell you my 380 shoots a 425 grain arrow in the 353 to 355 fps range.

Re: equinox or matrix 380
I currently have both, the 380 is the one I'm taking to the field while the Equinox stays in the cabinet and will soon be sold. Like was mentioned, "what feels best is important", for me the 380's size makes for easy maneuvering in blinds or tree stands as well as easier to carry than the ...

Re: need a new target
I've heard great things about the Rhinehart but haven't shot at one, I went with Spiderweb for easy arrow removal but for field points only. I shoot a 380 with custom string and arrows with 150 gr points so it is really traveling with some punch when it hits the target, no problems with the Spiderwe...

Re: Small game heads.
I've had luck with Muzzy Grasshoppers behind broadheads for turkeys, should work well with field points for smaller critters.

Re: String Cocker rope Matrix 355
Ive been using the one that came with my Equinox or my Phoenix for my 380, no need to pull up on the string to hook up, wrote to Exclal but Peter B says it is due to "higher draw weights and shorter stroke". Works for me thats all I can confirm.

Re: Can the Ibex drop a moose?
Never used an Ibex but below is cut and paste from Ontario Regs with the link below that. Crossbows must have a draw length of at least 300 mm (11.8 in.) and a draw weight of at least 54 kilograms (119 lb.). At a minimum bolts must have a 22 mm (0.87 in.) wide head with at least two sharp cutting ed...

Re: Shortest Recovery wid Crossbow
Spine shot with a vertical bow on a doe, maybe two steps, severed an artery because the blood was plentiful. 2nd was a 6 point directly below the stand, started to get scent I suspect and he got twitchy so I took the shot, another spine shot, dropped where he stood. I prefer double lung and wouldn't...

Re: Steady your shot method?
Thanks Guys, all good points and it looks like that sling may be the next addition to the xbow and I'll attempt to use the BRAS mantra. I was out again and realised another. From shooting skeet I learned that proper consistant form is a major player in hitting targets and I'm sure that it holds true...

Steady your shot method?
I was out yesterday with the new Matrix 380 for the first time, great x-bow, never thought I'd be sending arrows 60 yards at a target with confidence let alone the accuracy I was getting, I'm sure that will get better once Big Johns arrows arrive. I was using a saw horse or a mono-pod shooting stick...

Not sure about ticks but they work not bad for black flies and mosqitos
