Re: Call me crazy....

You make a whole lot of sense when you say that you like larger chevrons and even more so for hunting. The reality is and you know it by using the words Hail Mary, you should give yourself a shake for not being 100% ready well ahead of hunting season. Changing gear 2 weeks before hunting season? LO...

Call me crazy....

Well, have to throw a Hail Mary at the end of the game. Archery season opens in 15 days here in Nebraska and I'm in scramble mode. Recently purchased a Hawke XB-30 Pro and was SUPER excited about it. Mounted it up on my 308shorty and got to work. After 4 shooting sessions, here is my conclusion.... ...

Hawke Scope Rings

Any suggestions for scope rings for a Hawke sb30 pro? She takes 30mm rings. Brands? One piece? What are y'all using?

Re: The broad broadhead discussion

Stick with your Boltcutters and your all set! No need to spend more money on something you don't need right now. Good advice right there, these have been used on just about everything you can hunt with great results! You guys talking the 150gr? I am using a 308 short with gold tip swift arrow w bra...

Re: The broad broadhead discussion

Open to suggestions for sure. I hear tell mechanicals dont like to open at slower speeds but, that's just what I hear. I've shot the 150gr bolt cutters the last 3 years out of my matrix 330 and they have been amazing. Just wondering at slower speeds, would it be too much weight on the front?

The broad broadhead discussion

So this year I'll be hunting whitetail from a treestand with an Excal 308 short (not banshee) . Shes got and xb30 pro scope, custom gold tip swifts from wyvern (370gr) and the micro reds system. The very loaded question... what broadhead should I be using?

Re: Micro Delima!

Thank you all so much for the input. The 308 has been ordered from Wyvern and is in route. She's going g to be rocking an XB30 pro scope, Gold Tip swifts from Wyvern and the micro REDS. Now, onto broadheads.

Re: Micro Delima!

Dang
Thanks for all the info. I'm treestand hunting in the whitetail woods. Wyvern sells the 308 (well, all bows) as a bare bow option which is awesome. Think I'm gunna pull the trigger. Should be seeing my hawke xb30 pro tomorrow. Anyone have any recommendations for arrows on the 308?

Micro Delima!

Quick question.
I've got enough in pocket to grab a 308 short, wyvern arrows and baby bumpers at the moment. If it were up to you, would you hold off, put a bit more money back, and pop for a micro 355?

Heres afew thoughts more or less to pick you vetrans brains... Arrows- I know the 308's are not near as fast as my matrix 330. I hear the Quills are accurat...
