Re: refinish laminate stock?

Proper" tung oil is just oil. Tru-Oil, and many products that are labeled as tung oil without the word "pure," are polymerized oil. Tru-Oil hardens more than true tung oil and wears through more slowly. It is also able to be polished up to a gloss surface.

Re: Don't forget your deer hunter report

I like the way we do it here in GA. As soon as I shoot a deer and know it is down I can pull out my phone and go to the report app and fill out the needed info even if I am not getting a cellphone signal. Hit send and when the phone does get a signal it transmits the report automatically. By the tim...

Re: Morning or afternoon hunts

I am a morning man. I love watching the world come alive from stand. I am also a solitary hunter who is getting too dang old to be tracking, gutting and dragging deer after dark by myself. The few afternoons I did hunt this year I left and headed home an hour before dark. I figured if I had a deer d...

Re: New Excal Broadheads for 2020

I think I will stick to my Chinadermics that I bought for $1.00 each. Add a dental band (about $.02) for added insurance against opening in flight and they are ready to hunt. After making a kill I have a practice head to use.

There are a few videos on Youtube about making your own ghost blind.
And most of the guys that have gone to the trouble of making one will tell you that if they have to do it again they will buy one. Not much savings and a lot of time used to make one.

Re: Surburban Deer

You have to have 3 acres to hunt and a $2 million liability policy to bowhunt where I live, so there is nobody hunting. The deer are nearly fearless. There is lots of open school district property behind my house and I walk my dogs (bird dogs) off leash there. Frequently deer are grazing on clover ...

Re: charger crank on matrix stocks

Why not just buy a C2 crank. It will fit just fine as the bow is.
