Re: Can't get in the mood to hunt this year

I went through the same thing a few years ago. What really helped me was buying a game camera. I love pulling the card, taking it home and looking at what is out there. This year I had several very nice bucks and an albino doe on my cam and it has me totally pumped for going out. Watched that albino...

Re: Anyone broke an arrow inside a deer?

I would suggest that if you take the deer to a processor that you tell them there may be a broadhead lodged in a shoulder yet or if you cut it up yourself be very careful in case the head is still in the deer. Don't want to get a nasty cut reaching around while skinning and cutting.

Re: You Be The Judge..

I think you handled it fine. One thing if you put out other cameras place them up in a tree facing downward at whatever you want to watch. People rarely expect a camera from above. Living and hunting in Michigan this is unfortunately a common experience especially on public land. Our laws here say t...

Re: continuing grassy's view from the stand

Nice spot. Don't feel bad I hunted the last two days daylight until dark and went to bed exhausted last night. Alarm went off at 5:00 am I shut it and fell back to sleep...kicking myself already for not being out there. Good luck tonight.

Re: Has the RUT started?

Tuesday the 27th bucks were chasing doe big time in the morning here in southern Michigan. I had guys texting me with all the bucks they were seeing chasing. Three friends shot bucks that morning as well. I have been out a couple times since and will be out early tomorrow morning but have only heard...

Re: Deer movement ?

I have been hunting southeast Michigan near my home and private land in Alcona and Oscoda Co upnorth off and on since the opener. Upnorth has been dead but to be expected with the huge numbers of anterless permits the last 15 years. I saw a few doe a black bear and one real nice 8 point at 30 yds hu...

Re: 380 vs 405 final answer

I went through the same agony trying to decide last year between the 405 and 380. I went with the 380 and love it. I'm getting 378 fps chrono tested using a 388 gr total arrow weight. Laser accuracy and far more speed and power than is need for anything in North America and probably the world. I don...

Re: Help me mod my 380

A Claw sling a good scope and a Trigger Tech trigger. Thats it. The more you put on the string and limbs the slower the bow becomes.

Re: Spare Blemish Limbs Who's An Owner??

I have a spare set for my 380. Just purchased them a few weeks ago. Took about 2 weeks to get them. My current 380 limbs have deflection numbers of 106 each. The spare set were tested using the new method of deflection and both limbs have 54 written on them. The cost was $90.00 to my door and I live...

Welcome, Well I'm 63 and shoot a 380. I have no problem cocking it with a simple Excal rope cocker. Shots crazy fast and crazy accurate.... Plain and simple.

Re: Matrix 330 Bolt length past stirrup

I was shooting 20 inch arrows from my 380 matrix but couldn't rest the bow with the stirrup on the treestand or ground as the broadhead would obviously hit those two surfaces first and created a bad situation in my mind. Anyway this year I cut my arrows down an inch so now the broadhead sits behind ...

Re: what should i do

Go on Cabelas website and purchase one of their leaf/gillie jackets. I purchased one a few years ago and believe me you don't need a treestand if you play the wind. Saturday I passed on a very nice 6 point at 20 yards then he turned and walked back past me at 10 yds while eating acorns. I have had t...
