Don't buy the Caldwell Bipods for Excalibur Crossbows (PICS)

I bought the Caldwell XLA Pivot bipod (http://www.amazon.com/Caldwell-Pivot-Model-Bipod-13-5/dp/B004TADJ1Y/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1338595372&sr=8-6) and got it in the mail yesterday. I installed the bipod on my Excalibur Axiom so that the legs of the bipod point towards me like the picture I...

Re: What Bipod for an Excalibur Axiom with CLAW Sling?

Well, I searched everywhere and apparently there is no such thing as a bipod that you can shoot from in both the prone and sitting position comfortably. I looked on all the sites (amazon, cabelas, walmart, basspro, dicks sporting goods, sportsmen warehouse) and there is no bipod I found that can go ...

Excalibur Crossbows Inc. is going to be producing their own Mono-Pod and Bi-Pod sometime. They are in the process now.

Well that sounds cool, only thing is I noticed Excalibur tends to be pricey for accessories.

Re: What Bipod for an Excalibur Axiom with CLAW Sling?

I can mount it to the quiver bracket screw holes if I so desire, but I like being able to throw it in my pack if i'm stalking. Here's one you can check out. http://www.amazon.com/Shooters-Ridge-40854-Champion-Bi-Pod/dp/B0002INWLY Hank Thanks for the link, looks like it has decent reviews. I've neve...

Re: What Bipod for an Excalibur Axiom with CLAW Sling?

Made my own from an antique brass camera tripod. lightweight and extends tall enough that I can shoot standing or low enough that I can shoot lying down. Hank P.S Check out the second hand shops, that's where I got mine. Do you pull out the bipod only when you want to shoot your crossbow or is it p...

What Bipod for an Excalibur Axiom with CLAW Sling?

I posted a thread last week about which sling I should buy for my Axiom and several of you suggested the CLAW crossbow sling so I bought it and love it so far, it attached to my Axiom very easily and works great. Next thing to buy now is a bipod so I thought I would get your suggestions again since ...

Re: Best Sling for an Excalibur Axiom?

Thanks guys for the info, is there a suggested way of installing the Claw sling to an Excalibur Axiom or is there only one way to do it? I wouldn't need to drill any holes or anything like that right?

Best Sling for an Excalibur Axiom?

I just purchased an Axiom as my first crossbow and wanted to know what everybody uses for a sling or is there a better way to carry it? I want to be able to carry my Axiom comfortably while I walk miles through the woods here in Colorado. I did a forum search and found the 2 links below, but they ar...
