Re: The New Scope Arrived

I love mine! No need for an HHA if you like long range shooting as I do. have mine with the crosshair sighted in at 30yds. with power setting between the 4 -5 power an the marks are dead on for 10-50yds. -20-70yds. 30- 90 yds.with the 40 ,50 mark ? very good glass an can see no difference in it than...

Re: Brace height vs limb stress

I,m not saying anything about length of power stroke an speed . just saying with a high brace height that narrows your limb width you are putting more strain ,stress on them . keep making them smaller width an they will pop at some point.

Re: Brace height vs limb stress

I know you lose more power stroke but when them limbs are narrowed when cocked that would have to put more stress on them an increase poundage on the limbs pull weight would it not?

Re: Brace height vs limb stress

How can you not put more draw weight on your limbs if you raise the brace height an that makes your limb width narrowed when cocked ?can we get a third opinion as I have screwed up more than once with a tape measure with my brain

Re: Brace height vs limb stress

My bows are all older models with matrix limbs with s5 on them that gives them a high brace height if string is 1/8- 1/4 off rubbers. so I cut about a 1/2 inch off the ends of the post an now my ends of the stop rubbers sit on my low brace line that,s 5/8 inch from the riser joint.don,t know anythin...

Re: Brace height vs limb stress

From my measuring on two of our bows for every 1/2 inch you add to the brace height you narrow your limb width by the same when cocked. from what I read a 380 limb width cocked is 25.37 an the 405 is 24.75 so if you have a .62 higher brace height than normal on your 380 you have the same stress on y...

Brace height vs limb stress

On one of my matrix limb bows on a vixen riser the first string I made was short an the string set 1/2 inch above the high mark . I measured the width an about 1 inch less than what I read matrix limb bows should be cocked. I then put on a longer string an when cocked it was about the width of a mat...

Re: Matrix 405 another RMA

Sometime ago lots suggested that they would like a narrower bow ,shorter, powerful an Excalibur made them. great improvement after shooting them compared to the older bows. I had my share of splinters on the more powerful older long limb bows with a few dry fires an mostly my fault . No problems from...

Re: Limbs, Failures Blem's, deflection, matched, blah blah

I have matrix limbs an older long limbs that both have had, have splinters on them but never a limb failure or poi change. I see more blemishes in the finish with more showing after shooting on the matrix limbs.i have changed out limbs many times without seeing a poi change .i have complete faith in ...

Matrix vs long limb bows

I have both an shot these two side by side an what a big difference in recoil, vibration. havn,t shot a long limb bow for awhile but did today. I got kicked today by the long limb bow . being I have not shot the micro with shorter limbs than the regular matrix does that mean it has less recoil ,vibra...
