I would unstring it. Bill T recommended doing it to give the limbs a rest. Now that said lots of guys do not( including me) mainly because we shoot all year long. but if going to be stored then why not? it simple enough If it's good enough for Bill T. then I reckon it's good enough for me. I'll tak...
Looks like you don't have them. They are a short metal bar bolted on at the front of the limbs with a rubber pad on the inside end. Used for vibration and noise damping, but not a necessary item. Here's the link to them on the website. http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/catalog/crossbow/dissipator_ba...
It seems to be one of those things that is nice to do, but not necessary. I can tell you that my Exocet has been strung for the last 2 years and there has been no change in POI or speed. However I may give it a break once the season is done here. If you do unstring it make sure you remove the pads ...
Right now, I've just got more to do than time to do it. So much so that I'm
skipping hunting season this year so my Eclipse won't get any use, even
practice, until next year. Do I need to remove the string and relieve
the limbs until I can get back to normal life again?
Thanks,

Thanks everyone. I'd sure like to get a shot at him. They're
not that common around here. More than likely just passing
thru but he did eat some of my deer corn so he may be back
for more. We can only hope

1st is in the lower end of my front yard and about 25 yard from my living room window. 2nd is behind my barn an not 50 yards from the house. Not many of these around these parts. Hope he sticks around long enough for me to use the Eclipse on him. Dano http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y200/omega5m14/...
I have Kubota envy! You really should work with that ROPS up as soon as you clear the building. Yeh, I know  I'm used to working with a mule and they don't come with ROP's. :) 1st tractor I've ever driven much less owned. Gotta devolop the habit of putting them up and down. Thanks for...
Well, looks like I'll be ordering a Rhineheart 18-1. I can use the Morrell for vertical bow practice so I'm not out any $.. I'll have to wait a week or so for my yearly bonus to hit the bank before I can order. My stash of mad money's pretty much depleted right now :( But it's just a couple weeks. ...
I fixed the problem of removal. Made my own bolt puller. Works great. I'll try the silicone spray too. Only going to use the 3 bolts I practiced with today for practice. Got a few more for hunting. The Morrell target is all foam and I don't think it's doing it but it could be. Here's a pic of my bo...
Shot my new Eclipse today. Out of the box at 20 yards it was 1.5 inch to the right and 1 inch low. 3 clicks to the left and 2 clicks up and it was dead on. Even my wife put them in the 50 cent bullseye. :D Problem is a two parter. 1. I have a Morrell Yellow Jacket Extreme Broad head target and this ...
I have 28 acres. It borders several hundred thousand acres of wooded mountain on the back side, open field on one side and a mixture of woods and rural homes on the other two. I'm retiring next year and I plan on putting out food plots, feeders and re-cut some old fire roads that criss cross the pr...
Check out the Guide Gear line of rubber boots on the Sportsmans Guide. I just replaced a pair of the 1,000 gram Thinsulate boots after using them for about 8 years deer and turkey hunting mainly (but for anything that I needed a rubber boot for actually). At $45 you can't go wrong. http://ww...
