Re: Vortex or Not??
I believe that the Vortex is right up there with the Equinox and both are excellent model CBs, accurate and very rugged. This is mine with a Boo string.

Re: Trigger tec
FWIW, I put a Trigger Tech in my Equinox and could NOT tell any difference between it and the stock Excalibur trigger. YMMV

Re: drsturrip on a equinox?
This may help. I shortened my cocking rope so that I have to pull up on the string about 8" to set the 2nd hook on my Equinox. I have no knowledge of the drsturrip.

Re: Game Camera confusion
I have Reconyx, Browning & Stealth trail cams and Browning seem to be the best for the cost. All 3 models have failed to capture pics when I have been in the stand and watching the deer. Browning is also good with the AA batteries. I use a PC and/or iPad for viewing the pics and keep a supply of SD ...

The 150 gr Slick Trick Mags have the same POI as 150 gr field points on my 20" BEEs with a total weight at 485 gr & FOC of 18.9%. I put the NuFletch Ignitor nocks on also.

I loved to watch Anvil shake the feeder with his massive antlers to make the corn fall out. What a magnificent animal.

Re: S5 Suppressors
Came standard on my Equinox and I installed the S5s on the Vortex & Axiom. Makes checking BH easy peasy as I just set a 1/8" to 1/4" gap to the rubbers. Rotate the rubbers after several shots to prolong life. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Excalibur-S5-String-Suppression-System-1966/352665821729?hash=item...
