Re: almost had him!!!!
Haha.. I've had that happen too many times. Seems like every time I go to get out of my stand the deer come rolling in. I'm gonna have to start sleeping in the damn thing so I don't have to ever get out.

Re: Best target ever
Yeah I bet BHs would be nasty to try and pull out. Mechanical probably wouldn't be so bad but I think you'd have to take it apart to get a fixed blade out.

Same to you Awshucks.
JP, I don't know about how you like to be taken by Sasquatches but I'd sure put an arrow in him.

That's mighty nice. Can't imagine how long it took you to put that all together. Sure turned out nice though. Have you shot a BH into it yet or is that out of the question?

Re: Shot Placement
Yeah I understand all that, Steve. I was posting this up to show everyone else this awesome image I found. I hadn't seen it before and it shows exactly where the vitals are. There are plenty of new folks on this forum that could use it. Heck I hit a deer too far back last year and didn't get to reco...

Re: What do you do with your bow in a tree stand?
Definitely alot of what ifs here. Of course its better to err on the side of caution when it comes to these things. Honestly, I cock my bow before I get up in my stand and then load it once I'm seated. On the current hang on stand Im using I have a nice bow rest on the front so generally I dont even...

Shot Placement
Found an interesting pic I thought Id share with you all. I always freshen up on proper shot placement before season kicks off, which happens to be this Friday for me. This image shows exactly where you need to put your arrow to be able to retrieve you game. I thought it was pretty cool. I'm getting...

Your not the only one that has been helped out by fellow forum members. Awshucks sent me a rifle scope about a week ago because I am having trouble with my stock Axiom scope. Sure are some awesome people here.

Re: guille suites
I bought the ASAT 3D suit they have out. Cost me 124 bucks off Amazon. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but it's super light weight and has mesh as a base liner so you don't get hot in early season hunts. Also they are sized big so you can wear them when it gets cold. I have even talked to the c...

Re: Moose rack pics
Well it makes up for size with character. Bigger than any moose I've ever seen in the wild..which happens to be none.

Re: 10 days an getting ready
haha. yeah out of state is quite costly. MD has some good hunting if you can find a place to go other than state game lands. Seems like hardly anyone hunts down here. More for me! I grew up in PA. Last time I hunted up there was in 07 and it really seemed like the deer population had declined.

Re: 10 days an getting ready
Good Luck!
I think MD bow comes in on the 6th?
I just finished moving my stand today and I moved my game cam as well.
Yesterday when I was walking out I saw a big ol buck tail high going in the opposite direction.
Be safe and post some pics when you get one.
