Re: trail cam theft
So far I've been lucky for the most part regarding trail cams. I've got 2 Moultrie mini cams & both are in lock boxes with a cable lock. That being said I've had a ground blind & a tree stand stolen in the last 2 years, since then all my stands are either cable locked to the tree or the wood...

Re: Ontario Turkey eve
Good luck all!
Got out this morning before I went to work. No luck had one tom starting to work towards me until a hen got his attention & off he went.

Re: Cheapest place in Ontario to buy Excals?
Since I see you're in Chatham-Kent, I would seriously look at G&K Archery in Wallaceburg, I've found their prices in line with & sometimes better than the big box stores (Bass Pro, Cabela's etc.) also Kevin is more than willing to take all the time you need to answer all your questions and i...

Re: deer call(s), help me decide
Wabi, the quality & craftsmanship you put into your call is second to none. I'm glad I was able to get one from you & use it quite often, the sound it makes in amazing. I don't think you'll have any problem with selling your calls... the real question is as long as you are up to it. Here's t...

Re: no doe tag this year
I got a doe tag for 49 but since there are no additional tags in 93 this year I'm not sure how much bow hunting I'll be doing at least until November rifle season is done. Strange year in Ontario, last year I bought an extra bow doe tag for 93 & extra buck or doe tag for 49 & still had my re...

Ontario - Additional Deer Seals
Well this upcoming Ontario Deer season you will have to be ultra selective. The additional deer seal number are way down & none are available past WMU 87, so for all us Southwestern Ontario hunters, we will only get a chance at one deer. Last year I was able to buy 2 additional seals one in WMU ...

Re: most popular moultrie camera
I have 2 M-80 & like them very much. The picture quality is great & the batteries last a long time (8 -AA's) will last most of the season.

Re: Don't Forget Your Compass
A compass is key and to remember that the compass never lies unless of course you are up around Port Loring Ontario in certain parts of the bush & your compass will do circles. I use my compass more that I use my GPS when I'm on my rifle hunt in Northern ONT., the GPS is great but unless your wa...

Re: Calling - When to call & how much is too much
Lots of great info & tips. Thanks to all. I haven't had any luck yet. I was out last night & didn't see a thing. Back at it again this weekend. I'm itching to get a deer with my bow.

Calling - When to call & how much is too much
So this is my first year I've tried calling deer. I really nice call from Wabi (sounds great) & a rattle bag. I haven't been real aggressive with the calling yet, but I want to know should I get aggressive now with the rut in full swing. Its been a bit of a tough year, I've got deer in both prop...
