New Area

Found a new spot of 45 acres bordered by a creek on one side and a cemetery on the other. Mostly wooded with a power line right of way down the lower 1/4 of it. About 10 minutes from my house. I'll be talking to the owner this week.

Wish me luck!!

At best this area is a travel corridor for them. You just have to be there when they are passing through.
There is a bit of luck involved with hunting a place like this. You just have to be there at that random time that a deer decides to walk through.
You are right on target!!

Re: Patterned

This area is void of scrapes or rubs and with the exception of the deer trails you wouldn't even know deer had been there. That said it is definitely not their core area and my attempts to find the core area have all failed. I can't tromp around in the other peoples back lots scouting so I am at a d...

Patterned

Hunting my Church Buddy's place can be frustrating. It's only a 3 1/2 acre property in a large subdivision. His back fence borders a large open field which doesn't really add much because of the lack of cover. I used the County Assessors software to check out a Goggle map that shows all the boundari...

Re: Pa. Gun Deer Season my health has me down. UPDATED

Thanks for your prayers. Update-----I got the call from the doctor who did the biopsy on the mass on right lung. It is cancer, and he is now setting up a pet scan and then meet with a cancer doctor. I never smoked. I forgot to ask what could have caused it, but will ask the cancer doctor. Steve Han...

Re: Blind heater

One thing we need to seriously consider is safety. Everyone please be careful and keep your heater in good shape. Don’t get careless and have an accident with it.

Stay warm and safe!!

When polishing the trigger latches do you remove the trigger to do it? Mine appear ok but was curious how you do it.

Re: Buck Movements

My turn to wish you good luck! :D Got up with the landowner and verified his property lines. Come to find out I have another good spot that is still on his property. Will have to use my Grill Suit though. Don't want to move the ground blind in there as it is very close to the bedding area. Be easy ...

Re: Buck Movements

Any updates on buck movements or did you get one? Still getting pics of a few nice bucks but all late at night or very early in the morning. Will keep at it. If the weather had cooperated I would of been hunting my spot on the river. Have to camp out in my boat so rain is a big factor. Lot’s of dee...

But... If it comes to terminal performance and store bought ammo. Many people will argue just for the sake of it, but most will ultimately agree, the good old fashion Core-loct in the yellow and green box gets it done every time for a lot less.
You nailed it!!

Re: Buck Movements

This corridor can be frustrating. Lot's of blind time without seeing anything but the landowner sees them up in the subdivision!! Several have been camping out in his neighbor's back lot. Only a matter of time!! Getting some friendly ribbing from the landowner every time he sees the deer. He said th...

Re: Excalibur taking a beating.

Never had a limb issue, I’m on my eighth Excalibur and shot the snot out of every one of them. Luck, maybe. :eusa-popcorn: I'm not saying folks don't have legitimate issues, or that there were never any issues that maybe were the from the design, but I have had NONE! I also don't know how anyone co...
