Re: O/T Shotgun Turkey Hunters

Easiest call is probably a push type box call. It's basically a push in knob or plunger that makes a Yelp. You can almost start a riot talking about what call type is best or when to make what sound. Lol. As for a decoy, we use a styrofoam ball with tail feathers stuck in. Mount it to a rod and push...

Re: O/T Shotgun Turkey Hunters

Plain Jane Remington Nitro #5 turkey loads have shot the most consistent out of several guns for us 12 & 20ga. It is one of the few that's buffered, so has the best chance of consistent launch. Price and availability cant be beat either. I pick them up at year end clearance deals. I am already set f...

Re: Trying something new this spring

Reading a lot of guys using .410 with the TSS successfully. Still not legal in Indiana yet though. I am a late start in life turkey hunter, but 30+ yr deer hunter. Only started 8 yrs ago, due to my buddy hounding on me to try it. He learned from a friend and his dad who are from TN. He is highly suc...

Re: Smokers ?

Hard to beat a Masterbuilt electric. Reasonably priced, well built, 2 sizes, and efficient.. I know of several that are used a ridiculous amount by hardcore guys. Still going strong. I have the smaller 30" and I have never ran out of room.

Re: Nokturnal nocs

I bought a pack and tried them. They work great. They come with 2 different size expandable inserts to grip the shaft. I took 2 shots each at 20, 30, and 40yds. They are spot on to my previous zero. I called and had the rest put on hold.

Thanks for the replies fellas.

Re: I got some screws loose...

"I figured a miss was the worse that could happen." Really? Or a gut shot, or big slice on a leg, etc. Nothing like "tuning up" on live animals.

We have all done things that we aren't proud of. Maybe you could reword some of that content.

Has anybody used them? Any good? Says they fit all crossbow shafts. I found a couple packs on a clearance rack, but dont want to spend the money if no good. Thanks.

Re: Some people

Does this genius know how much farmland costs these days? Around my farm land costs $4,000 an acre at a minimum and goes up from there. I've never charged anyone to hunt, but I would totally understand anyone who would. And really, $100.00 to hunt a good piece of land is great bargain. That's dirt ...
