Re: Another broadhead question
Perhaps, like me, they never heard of the broadhead and were curious to see what others had to say.

Re: Replacement Cocking Rope
Small engine rewind starter rope....much stronger and tougher than paracord and reasonably priced in small quantities.

Re: Deer Interactive Shot Placement
68 and I don't agree with some of the "perfect shots" that they call for. It seems they consistently want shots a bit higher than I think is perfect.

So, all this consternation over straight, offset or helical and the difference is..............3 fps and O" on point of impact out to 90 yards. We really do argue over how many angels can dance on the head of a pin don't we? Good work. If there is anything learned it is to look at all adv...

Re: Opinions on Matrix
I own and shoot a Matrix 355. I suits my hunting purposes. I also own an Axiom and frankly it is more fun to shoot targets with. It is so much easier to draw for an afternoon of shooting targets.

Re: Slick Tricks
I use 125 gr. Standards (1") and Magnums (1 1/8") out of a Matrix 355 and an Axiom. They fly great and both are deadly on game. I chose that weight to give me a 400 gr. overall arrow weight.

Re: What arrow weight do you prefer?
I build my arrows, they come in at 397-400 gr. with 125 grain heads. I only hunt whitetail deer and they give a good combination of speed and penetration for my purposes.
I use 20" for my Axiom and 18" for my Matrix 355....both sets of arrows weigh the same.

Re: Removing Matrix Stock
It must really be cold this winter if they are turning blue down in Ga. Perhaps a sweater will help?
Sorry I just couldn't resist.

Re: Axiom vs New matrix 330
I bought a Matrix 355 to go with my Axiom. Love them both. I drive 8-12 hrs. to hunt and I just feel better having a second bow on hand.

You are gonna laugh..... Wicking liner socks, good merino wool socks, not tight in the boots...leave room...and the secret weapon....a good warm hat and/or facemask. Keeping your head warm goes a long way to keeping your extremities warm.

Re: New cooler
Somewhere on the net I read a comparison test that involved the Yeti, the Engle, Coleman, and Igloo. The Yeti didn't come off very well. The Coleman Extreme actually kept ice longer than the Yeti. The Coleman is not built as tough but it cost about 1/5 of a Yeti in the same size. If I remember the b...

Sometimes putting a hot soldering iron on the screw head will do the trick....before you round off the allen socket.
