Re: My Matrix Strings Problems ?
X2 It does not matter if the string was made by Vix, Dan, Danny, Boo or anyone for that matter none will hold up well to a Matrix dryfire. #1 If you let your string lay on the REDS and shoot it that way bad things can and will happen. #2 If you are new to crossbows and do not know the arrow MUST be ...

Re: Thermacell
I have been using them for a few years now. They work great as long as they are close to you. Once you are about 5 feet away look out. You will get a bug or two every now and then, but they do work.

Re: Matrix 380
Keep the string about 2 string widths away from the REDS and rotate the rubber every now and then. Any closer will split the rubber very fast.

Yes, Un-string it and add a few twists. I keep mine about 2 string thicknesses off the reds.

Re: speed weight.
I have my speeds with a string exactly like that here someplace. I will try to dig them up, if not maybe Dan will see this and remember (he was there). The cat whiskers will slow you down as will brace height. What is your brace height?

Re: speed weight.
When I shot stock Diablo's with a 100 grain field point and stock string, I would get 371-375fps every time. Never above 375fps.
I get 350-354 fps with the 416 grain arrows I now use.

They just are not the same since Kevin died. I did see them about 10 years ago and he was still wearing the leopard print jumpsuit. Plus we got to meet them. Good times

Re: rubber string stops .
Same problem here. I am 2 string widths back and I rotate. They are splitting on the side along the seam not the end on the ball. I think its a bad batch. I can usually go along time on a set. This set has less then 200 shots.

I am using a Hawke XB30. The Tact zone is on my wife's Vixen. I did not have any problems with the Tact Zone, but the wife liked it so she got it.
