Re: Matrix 405 vs 380
How big a boy are ya? Let me say same things as your first reply. The 380 will kill anything on earth you want to hunt (that is of course you hit it in correct place). That said, if you are the gotta have the newest, fastest, bestes crossbow on earth then the 405 is for you. But, keep in mind that aft...

Re: shotgun chokes
I always check with supplier you want to purchase chokes from. Some will ship to Canada and some won't. Last ones I ordered came with machine parts on envelope! No issues there, hint, hint. Smaller manufactures will do this, cabelas, brownells etc no go. The folks at Elwood Epps in Barrie/Orillia are...

Re: How i turns my scope as a vibration stabilizer
A good layer of black automotive silicone inside top and bottom rings before you install rings will have similar effect. I have been doing this for 20+ years on every scope mounted. It serves a number of issues, it will stop even the heaviest of scopes from moving in big recoiling calibers. It preve...

Re: Matrix Moose-Ontario
Thanks all! For those of you that have experienced the thrill of a bull coming to the call you know how it feels. My best story to date is, on my first archery hunt (25 yrs ago) I had a bull coming in for over an hour. I was shaking so bad that as he got close, I had to take my belt off and strap my...

Re: Matrix Moose-Ontario
Thanks. Arrow was GT Laser 3 with brass insert and G5 Striker,Boo string and trigger job, shot about 8 yards, moose dropped within 25 yrds. We hunt a fly in camp and have been hunting the same lake now for 13 yrs. We hunt from tree stands and call moose in. Our success rate is very high at this loca...

Downtown Canada here! That is what I tell my American buddies, they once asked me if I could pick up another Canadian guy - in New Brunswick on way to Texas, right. London is home.

Re: looking for meat
Suggestion, call your local police dept and explain and ask if you can get on list for few road kill calls. Most forces don't mind a number to call when it happens at night. You'll need to be available and willing to do a little work. Some will be soup meat and others with very little damage. I alwa...

Re: ranger finder dumb question
This is exactly why if you are going to hunt from tree stand you need to sight bow in from tree stand. over the years I've seen dozens of misses when people shoot over animal because bow sighted in on ground. Whole new game when 18-20 FT up.

Re: matrix 380 vs matrix 405
Unless you are planning on hunting T Rex I can not see any reason to go above 380. My 380 is capable of 1" groups out to 90 yards, nothing on earth I can't take with it.

Re: Rinehart 18-1 targets, and arrow removal?
Another option is to take some acetone on rag and wipe logo and any writing off shaft. It is this paint that melts on impact and then hardens by time you get to target making removal a beast. I find it very handy as it makes it simple to keep track of my practice shafts - one's with no logo on them....

Re: why that broadhead
G5 Strikers fly best out of my 380. Tried four different types, the steel force xbow phat head on par with G5 for accuracy and a heavy duty head.
I have seen too many expandable a fail to even consider them. I also use xbow mainly for moose.

Just make sure the missus don't wander down to see what you up too! Might be good idea to advise her prior to zinging them through house to deck, we don't want to read bout ya! Have fun, I did that basement thing with my .44 mag one time when missus was out, she never could figure out why cat would ...
