Re: Broadhead Practice
At the end of the day like Wabi put it, I really don't have any intentions of letting one go past 30 yards which is my max in the woods. In fact, most of my setups are like 15 yards. I guess it's more of a confidence thing for me then anything else. With the field points both my bows shoot very well...

Re: Broadhead Practice
I'll have to try these black eagle arrows out. Are they sold at Cabelas or are they a special order? Cabelas is in my back yard. Thanks for the replies and suggestions. Hearing about others equipment and successes is part of the fun for me! On a side note, one thing I forgot to mention earlier was t...

Broadhead Practice
Season opens up on October 1st here so the itch is on just like everywhere else. I've been shooting different arrow and different broadhead combinations for the past couple weeks and have been having a great time trying to get what I'm looking for. I'm a cut on contact type of guy and really like th...

Yeah mine our definately carbon. I must've misread the title. They are 10.5 grains per inch and have the btv fletchings like my fmj's.

Re: Easton bloodline 2219 bolts
I bought a half dozen of these just yesterday. I put my montec G 5's on and they shot great for me. They are 125 grains and I was shooting back to 35 yards. I bought a 6 pack of fmj's as well.

I did it!
A few months ago I purchased my first crossbow, A brand spanking new Phoenix from Cabelas. I read and read and read about crossbows and decided early on that a recurve would be in my best interest. I started reading on this forum and I believe I read nearly every post. I was convinced that I needed ...

Re: Wooden Arrows
I tried to post a followup post earlier today and I'm not seeing it? I am new to all of this though! Thank you all for the concerns and ideas. I have been doing some research as well. It seems My comparing the new with the old isn't totally on par. There are records of xbows back to the 1st century....

Wooden Arrows
Hello All! I am a brand new owner of a Phoenix crossbow. I am from Michigan and and I enjoy archery all the way around. This is my first real crossbow and have to admit that lurking here since October is pretty much what made my decision. I am in love. I wanted to know if anyone here has played with...
