Re: Armchair comandos dislike excalibur

I really didn't pay attention to the name of the sites. I was just searching on bing and it directed to several.

Re: Armchair comandos dislike excalibur

Now that makes sense. Just feeling inferior and needing to make themselves feel like a big man. I hadn't thought of it from that prospective. I was trying to read up on the new mega. I don't think I ever saw a post with a reason, folks were just bragging about their ten point and one I never heard o...

Armchair comandos dislike excalibur

Boy I was doing a search for something and a lot of folks absolutely hate excaliburs. It will be a simple thread on a fellow asking advise to buy a new one. Someone suggests excalibur and the benefits then it turns into a pissing match. So why all the hate for the excaliburs?

Re: Convince me

Honestly I can't speculate on the particulars of this one. Only past experience in dealing with other companies that were bought out. Can't say if that will or will not reflect things to come for excalibur. I will continue to sell them as imho they are the best product on the market. If anything dec...

Re: The straight goods on Bowtech and Excalibur

Biil T, sorry I can't see it with the same enthusiasm as you. If they were that worried about quality and customer service they would have gotten their own company in line before buying another. I do truly see the intent a lot of you folks have. Keep everyone on the up and up so folks will keep buyi...

Re: I took the plunge ...

You should build up a little more to cocking it, the more you shoot it. I'm too cheap to pay for the cranker. Over $100 just seems insane for what it is. I have an ibex that's the same power as yours. It was shooting 416 gr total a little faster because of the string, but very comparable to your set...

Re: Limb damage?

A couple of tips on the string. Take a look and make sure there are no burs where the string relief cuts are. Also be sure to wax the loops on the new one pretty heavy. As far as a splinter, you'd be better off emailing the photo to excalibur. I have a 15 year old vixen with a splinter and it shoots...

Re: Charity matrix

No way that I can afford that. Is there an address where we can just send a donation for the little girl? Paypal would be ideal.
Thanks

Re: HECS Suit

No idea what an hec is. On two occasions I've touched a deer while hunting. Once sitting with my back to a tree and it was smelling my rubber boots that I'd sprayed acorn cover scent on. The other was a little yearling smelling fox pee I'd sprayed on a blind. Like I said I don't know what this new t...

Re: OT longbow question

I always shot 145 fred bear razorheads. Back in the day we didn't know any better, none of these fancy formulas or anything else. Just a bow you were strong enough to pull back and make the arrow and head heavier, the lighter poundage you drew. I always just went with the heaviest shafts when it was...

Ranger, sometimes it's better to think of what we can still do instead of what we can't. Hang in there partner it wont be long and you'll be back at it. Until then well it aint so bad helping folks out on these message boards. No doubt you've got a lot of knowledge to share.
Have a good one.

Re: Need help with fletching

I also like the ez fletch bolt better. Had a blitzenberg years ago with regular bow and it was a pain in the butt with all the drying time to do them 3 times. I like gorilla brand super glue that comes in the blue top. After they are fletched I put a drop at each forward point of the vanes. That hel...

Re: Crossbow speed question

I think there is a little varience in limbs. I can't remeber exactly where but assuming I read it on here that they put a mark on them at the factory to mark like limbs for pairing. Odds are they have specifications on go, no go and there will be some a little heavier and some a little lighter but s...

Re: Group Consistency With Phoenix

I have victory x-bolts. No fliers out of the 6. Also just got some black eagle zombie slayers. No fliers out of the 12. Can put 3 of either into a Copenhagen can at 50 shooting off my porch rail in a lawn chair with an ibex. With a solid rest and chair I imagine it would be a little better. Props to...
