I'm in the Club Now
Finally got away from the house and hunted yesterday morning. I was in the double bull by 5:45 a.m. and got settled in. It was but only a few minutes later that I could hear pigs off to the NW squealing and carrying on, and every few minutes I could tell they were getting closer. It took them about ...

Re: Bushnell warranty sucks
I bought a camera two years ago and after six months, it was taking pics but there was nothing on the disk. I sent it back and within a week I had a brand new one, in fact a better one, in the mail and it has been working like a charm.
But feel your pain.

Re: Bow Noise
Yeah, today did some chrono work. 419 grain arrow was at 345 fps. That was a BEA that weighed 319 and added a 100 grain field point.

Bow Noise
So I think my Excal Matrix 380 is a little loud. I put a Flemish string on the bow and shooting Black Eagle Executioner, but may need to change to a heavier tip. What have others done to quiten their bows, or am I just assuming my bow is loud. This is my first crossbow, mostly been a compound and re...

Re: 20 vs 40
20 Yards = 8.70 Inch Arrow Drop. 25 Yards = 16.30 Inch Arrow Drop. 30 Yards = 26.10 Inch Arrow Drop. 35 Yards = 38.10 Inch Arrow Drop. 40 Yards = 52.20 Inch Arrow Drop. Sorry but this has me baffled. The OP was "zeroed at 30 yards" question. I'm new but I've been hunting since I was 6 yea...

Re: Ground Blinds
A couple of guys I've hunted with had the Doghouse and had problems with fading and sun damage, basically the sun was eating the material. But if you pick it up everyday....

Are you packing in and packing it out each time? I'm a firm believer you get what you pay for and that is one I use Double Bull. But, I leave mine out all season, in fact just put them out a couple of days ago.

Re: String life and replacement?
You will more than likely need a press in order to change strings on compound, unless you get the new Mission bow. I'm new, but bought a stringer and changed my string in a matter of minutes on my Matrix. I've worked on a bunch of vertical compounds over the years when I worked at a pro shop, and I ...

Re: Matrix issues
Which Hawkeye scope you using? I'm thinking of getting another one because I'm not real keen on the scope that came on my Matrix. With that said, I've already ruined 3 arrows with Robin Hood's and finally quit shooting for groups.
And I know, I know, don't shoot groups, but heck it was fun.
