Re: 380 helps score a nice WI 10 Pt.
He green scored 143 7/8 as a typical (About 147 gross) Very symmetrical. 1/4" difference in the beams. G1 were about 1/2 different. Both sets G2 and G3 were all exactly 8". G3 had the greatest difference with one being 5 and the other just unde 3. I thought he might score a bit higher, but...

Re: Executioners vs. Zombies
I had a trial pack of 3 each. While I did like the way the Zombie flew out of 380 a little better, it was only a little better at 20 and 40 yds. Ended up buying 12 Zombies and love them, but if I wouldn't replace a quiver full of Executioners. Not enough of a difference, particularly for hunting. I'...

380 helps score a nice WI 10 Pt.
Matrix 380 helped me score a Nice Western Wisconsin 10 point. Been watching this guy all summer on Trail Cam. Mostly nocturnal, but he finally came in about 5 minutes before the end of shooting. Came in from a blind spot. Only new he was coming in from the way a doe and fawn in the area reacted. Hit...

Re: Thermal Cameras For Tracking ?????
I have a lot of first hand experience with FLIR Industrial cameras and the cameras are amazing Technology, BUT they are not the magical solution. They are great for seeing live deer out in the field, but they do not see thru things like they show in the movies. While you can see thru a lit bit of li...

Re: Black Eagle Arrow Helical?
I'm shooting spine indexed BE Zombie Slayers with 2" Blazers fletched with the Arizonia EZ Fletch Helix, and capped with the 2.25" shwacker. I'm 3 of 4 with the setup. No idea what happened on the 4th. The shot sound "different", but seemed quieter than a normal shot, and not loa...

Re: What to eat while in Tree Stand
For archery, we only hunt the morning and late afternoon behind our house. I typically take some fruit and coffee for the morning. During gun season down at the inlaws farm, we take Beef Jerky, natural Valley Granola Bars, water , coffee, pistachios, and of course a couple mini snickers. We break fo...

Re: Targets
When I bought my 380, I brought it home excited to shoot and buried a Diablo with a field point into a Cabelas Fiber filled bag target. It stopped just short of passing thru with the fletching buried inside. It also had melted fibers to the field point and side of the arrow. Next I bought a Field Lo...

Leaving crossbow cocked
Survey - What's the longest you leave (or would leave) your crossbow cocked? In light of the recent rope cocker failures and the general risk of a dry fire associated of cocking/uncorking, I'm wondering of its better to leave a bow cocked for extended periods of time. I often hunt morning and evenin...

I've had great results with 2" Blazers fletched on BE Zombies with an Arizona EZ-Fletch Bolt that puts a nice Helical into them.

Re: Question on Zombie Slayer Shafts
I wanted a set of very repeatable arrows. Bought a dozen .001 spine indexed and matched Zombies from South Shore Archery. I tried to categorize them so I could bunch them in sets of three. Problem was, they were all so similar I ended up with 12 that all fly the same. They averaged inside an inch of...

Re: New Leupold RX-1000i Rangefinder
Bought one last year and love it. Love the TBR. I hunt in real hill terrain. As ther have said. Works great in low light. This was the single biggest reason I got it and it did not disappoint.

Re: Swhackers and Matrix 380
I took a Doe last year with my M380 using a 125gr Shwacker on a BE executioner. Entrance was 1". Exit was 2.25". Opened inside just like they are supposed to using a single factory band. Hit both lungs and the heart (shot from a ground blind). It was right before dark but still had no prob...
