Re: Got my matrix 355... not top quality
You bought a great bow from a wonderful company. If you are not happy, then you are also entitled to say so. Excaliburs customer relations is second to none in the world of product, before and after a sale, and I am sure your feedback is welcomed. Do not be bullied on this forum to speak your mind ...

Re: Got my matrix 355... not top quality
A quick update: just had a conversation with David from Wyvern. Very nice guy and straight shooter as you guys mentioned. Offered a couple of solutions dealing with the screw issue. I'll try to tap it per his suggestion and see if this works. He fully stand behind the bow he's selling. So at least t...

Re: Got my matrix 355... not top quality
Thanks. Do you happen to know his email? I talked to him a few days ago and he said he's got a 2 week waiting period on Matrix 355. Hopefully he's got some parts.gtonini wrote:Danny Miller will give you fast service depending where you live !

Re: Got my matrix 355... not top quality
Take it back to where you bought it from I'm sure they will help you out ! Thanks for the suggestion. I guess my only choice would be dealing with Excal or Danny Miller at this point, as I bought it from Wyvern (some recommended highly and they are an authorized dealer). I'll shoot an email to them...

Re: Got my 355... not top quality
When you find a better one let me know Ill buy two from you :D Or you can take this one for the price I paid :D I bought the bow because of two things (based on the feedback I've got): quality and warranty. Accuracy is part of the quality but not all of it. How would you feel that the new bow you g...

Re: Got my 355... not top quality
I can't speak to the quiver mount issues, but that "knot" is the bump from what I believe is called backserving - it's the end of the string tucked very tightly back under itself to hold it in place - then the end is cut off. Perfectly normal and proper - you'll find that an every string....

Got my matrix 355... not top quality
I got my Matrix 355 last night. Can't say that I am totally impressed. Haven't got a chance to shoot it but noticed minor things. Although they probably won't really affect the operation of the bow, it does give you an uneasy feeling. After all, it's a $800 bow. One issue I've noticed, is an extra &...

Re: Matrix 355 at Dunham's
I guess you'd have to go in a store and buy it, or can you buy and have it shipped? $719 plus shipping is probably around $750. Anybody heard outdoor4less? They have that price but not a authorized dealer, according to my search of excal website.
Thanks,
Will

Re: help me decide axiom/ibex or equinox
It sounds like a good idea to get the matrix 355 at 789, vs equinox at 650 (actually less, you can find it on vergona outdoor website for 639). Only concerns left are the lesser performance history of Matrix, and some questions about quality of the tact zone scope (fish tail issue). But then again, ...

Re: help me decide axiom/ibex or equinox
One more question if I may: how much difference in effective range you think there is, between 305 fps vs 350? According to this link, the speed drop shouldn't be an issue, and ibex can kill a deer effectively (ie with enough KE) even at 80yds: http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/content/arrow_ballisti...

Re: help me decide axiom/ibex or equinox
Wow! I didn't expect so much responses in such a short time span. You guys are awesome! I'll take a closer look (again) at 355 then. I can get an Ibex for $550 so I might just go with that. I've seen 355 selling for $830ish but not from authorized dealers. One of the reasons I was looking at Equinox...

help me decide axiom/ibex or equinox
All, Thank you for all the great info I've found here. Being browsing for a while, trying to figure out which one to get. I guess I've done my homework well, or I wouldn't be here in the first place! Little background: never done crossbow hunting. Got a cheapo 240 fps SA Fever to play with, like it ...
