Re: decocking

Dang, lucky you! That your son was there. Always gotta keep our minds on things like that. Try to develop a routine.

Re: Point restrictions

I used to dislike any antler restrictions, but I never saw many bucks either here in East Texas. About 5 years ago the state instituted a county wide antler restriction in many counties. 13" inside spread or spike on one side. I grumbled and continued. But each year I have seen more and more be...

Re: He dont know how lucky he was

Hmmm. Gone are those days around my lease. A buck has to have an inside spread of 14 inches or be at least 3.5 yrs old before we can shoot it. These are our management rules. It is working, because I see bigger and nicer bucks every year. Passed on a couple of close ones last year, that should be go...

Re: Need assistance for first crossbow

I just bought the Axiom 2 weeks ago. Love it. Very accurate. Hope to take it on its first hunt in the morning. I was unsure which bow to get as well. Axiom and Ibex both in my price range. Only place near me had one Excalibur to hold, it was an Axiom. So I had nothing to compare it to. Like the idea...

Re: Axiom and Broadheads

Ok, so I just finished shooting the Boltcutters vs the 150 gr slick tricks. The Boltcutters are consistently hitting 1 inch left of center, up/down perfect. The slicks are dead center period. This is at 20yds. Basically if you use or sight either BH in, I wouldn't be scared to use the other at all. ...

Re: Axiom and Broadheads

So after shooting it a few more times, the FP's are actually hitting about an inch high and an inch left of where the Boltcutters are hitting. They are still within the bullseye, where the boltcutter is hitting dead center of bullseye at 20 yds. The Boltcutters are also hitting hard and bury the bol...

Re: Axiom and Broadheads

Just received the axiom and assembled. Sited in the field points that came with it at 10 yds. Also using supplied 20 in Firebolts. Out of the box, shooting 2 in high, and 1 1/2 in right. Not bad. So after 6 or so shots, had it dialed in at 10 yds. Move out to 20 yds, FP' just tad high and little lef...

Re: Axiom and Broadheads

Thanks for the responses. After more Internet searching, I felt it was going to be a try and see approach to this. So I ordered some 150 grain Boltcutters along with some 150 grain SlickTricks. Once the bow arrives, I will try em out, see which one if any make a difference.

Axiom and Broadheads

Searched trying to find the answer, but nothing I am sure of. I just purchased a new Axiom online. Being shipped out today. I am wanting to use the bolts that came with it, which according to the online description are the 350 grain Firebolts. What I want to do is buy some Broadheads that work well ...
