Re: mega Email
The mega email kinda pissed me off. No details, just wasted my time telling me that they're coming out with a new product. Like we didn't know that a bow company was working on the next product, duh!

At least you realized it before you were up in your stand!

Re: One Reason aka Why not to take a Poor Shot
... That's why I stopped gun hunting about 18 years ago!!!! At least during archery season the typical ranges are short enough that only a true moron would not be able to identify the target and pick the shot , but........ They ARE out there!!!! Did you just get on the internet today? There...

Re: Swacker Broadheads
What brand/type of shaft were these? Diablo shafts. But.....this can't be a common occurrence with Swhackers, can it? It's not a problem for most bow guys, as they shoot a smaller diameter arrow, so it doesn't hit. I have seen a few other instances of this when doing some searching on the net. I co...

Re: Swacker Broadheads
I decided to try Swhackers this year. I'm not impressed with what occurred. 2 Shots here: First Shot, after a missed shot at a critter, I found that they have a design flaw. The wing blades contact the arrow shaft when deployed, destroying the shaft. This particular broadhead did hit a few sticks, b...

Most companies are always working on the next new thing. Not surprising at all.

Re: faulty cocking aid
I took a close look at mine and determined that the only way for the hook assembly to touch the rail is for the rope to be out of the slot on the rear. Period. You might have started with it in the slot, but it probably slipped out one time and ended up behind the safety. This could be done without ...

Re: Wear your saftey vests!
Ditto. My dad is sitting out this season because he fell from a ladder stand pre-season and shattered his hip. He was lucky to live through it. It was 6 hours before they found him. It was only a 12 ft ladder.

Re: Scope for matrix 380
I have a $1200 scope on a $1000 rifle. Not uncommon. It is a Trijicon after all. Like I said, I am happy with my bow the way it sits, not trying to turn it in to a competition rifle with accessories, it's just that are some great options out there for those who want better. For a rifle that's one t...

Re: Rage Broadheads
They work fine as long as you make a good shot.
They are designed a little bad in various ways. I whacked a few deer with them before discovering their weaknesses. I don't use them anymore.

Re: Summit Viper clanking when I walk
That's like asking how to make a bell quieter. The stand's construction is a fail to start with, one the worst I've ever had for noise, hollow noisy tubes.
Like others said, it's just a matter of figuring out what is causing the noise and then wrapping in foam and/or cloth camo tape.

Rainy Day Matrix Games
It's raining today, so I decided to go out in the shop and play with the Matrix 355 a little. First I wanted to do some sound tests . Not scientific by any means, but the software developer in me thought maybe it would tell me something. I used my iPhone and an app called Decibel 10th to record soun...
