Re: i was decocking and.......WTF !!!
that sucks, glad no injury though; If you have to buy a new one I recommend the Parker Deluxe Red Hot Roller cocker. I would be surprised if Excal will replace it but you never know:)

Re: to loctite or not to loctite ?
Yes, as soon as I could turn the two large flathead fasteners that hold the scope to the rail with my fingers, I clued in pretty quick, lol!

Re: to loctite or not to loctite ?
thanks for everybody's input. I assumed that a dealer would have done this when mounting the scope, apparently not. I knew once the bolts were hitting the target more than 2 inches apart at 40 yards that something was obviously loose; when I asked the dealer he obviously just slapped it on the cross...

to loctite or not to loctite ?
after quite a few shots I noticed the scope comes just loose enough to affect accuracy, The dealer that mounted the scope says you don't need loctite as a crossbow doesn't have the recoil of a rifle, should one be using some blue loctite on the 2 big screws that hold the scope to the rail?

Rage broadheads
Are the Rage crossbow X 2 blade broadheads as effective as a 3 blade setup? Or should one stay away from them? The 2 inch cut seems like a good idea, I am just curious as to whether they are worth trying or not. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Parts needed for old crossbow
I guess finding parts for a crossbow from the better part of two decades might be like searching for hen's teeth; I might just have to spend the hundred or so dollars for a complete unit and part it out

Parts needed for old crossbow
Does anybody know where a guy can find parts for an old Bear Devastator crossbow? I was shooting it the other day and the rest that holds the bolt, made up of three flat pieces of medal which are riveted to the end of the bow, broke. It was the bottom finger that just let go.. I haven't shot it much...

Easier said than done Sixlomaz... I know what it takes to make a buck, I'll be damned if I could just " let it go"... Replaceable yes, but on who's dime?

Re: Rangefinder Dilema
Lot of intriguing information here; Might just go for the Leupold as I am quite biased towards their products, have them on all my rifles and very good success, But very appreciative for all of the feedback... THANX EVERYONE!

Aaahh, the 405 finally arrives; gotta be a bit of a brute to pull back almost 300 pounds 14 inches though..I like it, just not sure its worth the 1300 bones? I might just use the old Equinox for a while while I decide..
