I replaced my nocks with Nockturnals. I used a pencil soldering iron to heat the nock. Get it hot to the touch, and quickly screw a field point in, grab with pliers and pull out. Worked great with no damage to shaft.

I have done nothing to them. When I installed them, I made double-sure I got them fully seated against the shaft. Then I thoroughly cleaned the hot melt glue that squeezed out. The Nocturnals hit the same as my bolts without them. The nocks are smooth and square.

I've been using them, and have had no problems. Be sure and use the ones that are flat. NOT the half moons. I killed 2 deer 2 weeks ago with them. They are a great aid.

The above recipes are all good. The only thing I add is 1 cup sweet vermouth, or a cup of good red wine.
