Re: Fixed Blade Search
I just purchased some VPA vented 100s but haven't had a chance to let them fly due to all the white stuff... I will say they appear to be of good quality although a little pricey. This talk of warranty on another forum led me to the purchase but I was supprised to see there is no mention of any war...

Re: Fixed Blade Search
I really enjoy the VPA's best broad head available IMHO. I shoot them on my recurve, compound and 380 matrix. I have the 100 &125 terminators. The 175 grain custom shop terminators and 150 gr penetrators all non vented and my wife has the 100 gr vented terminators. Steel is a 1000x better than G...

Re: 405
Going off the excalibur specs shooting a 350 grain arrow in both and both xbows were shooting advertised speeds M380+350gr@380fps=112ft lbs, and M405+350gr@405fps=127ft lbs

The Block has treated me well. Not sure what would be considered easy to pull though. Stopping means friction

I once took the top off a beer bottle with my teeth. I won't do that again!

Re: Test string
Yeah I think that's a great idea. The string I'm running only has about 2-3" of exposed string and at that point I wondered why the maker didn't just serve the last couple inches

Re: Breaking the 400 FPS Barrier
The 405 has been called "the bow that doesn't exist" since last spring. They should name this top secret Xbow the Spirit after the B2 Spirit bomber that didn't exist during its development. I would love this model. I feel I could comfortably cock a Xbow with an additional 75lb d...

Re: Could it be possible?
That's what I'm saying. I'm not complaining. I've got more testing to do tonight with some other equipment that I know what the fps is. I've seen crony's report slower speeds but I've never seen one report a higher speedxcaliber wrote:If the math is right, you are 8 FPS. over stated speed.

Could it be possible?
I finally ran my 380 matrix over the crony last night. I tested 20 shots. Does this seem correct or even possible, or did I just get a good one? I'm shooting a 404 grain arrow through my matrix with a vapor trail string with string leeches for steady 371 fps with my crony 6 ft away. At that speed a ...

Sorry. I jumped the gun and replied to your post with out fully reading it. My reading and comprehension is great when I actually read the whole post . But seriously powdered graphite is an amazing fix for allot of mechanical noises

Re: Busted by a noisy chair
I've got a fix for you. Even a new chair will begin to squeak eventually. Oil and spay type lubricants only work temporarily and have an odor that hunters don't like. Go to a hobby shop and get a tube of powdered graphite, walmat may even sell it. Usually comes in a small squeeze tube. Comes out lik...

Woo hoo trigger tech on its way
I'm so psyched. I ordered the 2 stage hunter model this morning. Wyvern has both the single and the two stage in stock. I've always loved 2 stages so I pulled the trigger

Re: FX Airguns has a new airgun that shoots crossbow arrows
I've seen that before over on the yellow forum. Supposedly pretty powerful. Also duals as a pellet rifle. Add in a 2 stage hand pump and you've got quite the Teotwawki rifle I agree with ya the price tag is kinda smart if ya know what I mean along with the Daystate 303 rifle price I guess a person ...
