Re: Montec Crossbow
Great review! I passed on a doe yesterday evening, have two in the freezer. Had montec 100s on the arrows! Like the solid design vs several parts of my slicks.
Helped a friend get a spike out of public land and he will give me two more CS's tomorrow!
In the future a may try some VPAs.

My first post was about my Dynaflight center serving, it lasted about 50 shots. One call to Danny and tonight my ibex has a new in box dyna. Turn around time is awesome!

Re: Is this acceptable?
Hate to hear you having all that headache. Like you say, the SMF is solid, unless yours is a defect of some sorts. I actually looked at a Phoenix but preferred the ibex. Keep us informed.

Re: Is this acceptable?
I would try it to see, maybe try some other rings if ya have them. I didn't use the rings that came with the bow, had aluminum vertical split rings on hand.

Re: Is this acceptable?
I suggest calling excal as well. Sent my SMF scope in after 20 shots, got a new one very fast turn around. Haven't tried it still in the box.

I never was a rage fan, but my brother likes'em... Go figure. I like a simple fixed head if they group well.

Apologies if this may have been discussed before, but dose anyone have any info/experience with the crossbow version of G5's Montec?
Any difference?

Re: Scope
I'm still with factory trigger. Oiled it a bit and I can consistently predict 3 stages of creep
Next season I will have a triggertech.
