The stirrup side of the string. It depends what you call optimum performance. For some people its just about arrow speed only, but there isn't much in it really. For me its about what feels best "Less shock". Its up to you. I've had good consistency with excals at different brace heights,...

how important is brace height...proper brace height?
I was just asking a question on another post and it got me thinking. In vertical archery bows are designed to perform optimally at a certain brace height. That being said, is the proper way to measure brace height from the joint of the bow and stock rail to the stirrup side of the string or the trig...

You said you have a 6/8" (3/4") brace height. I'd like to know, is the measure taken from the point where the bow meets the stock rail 3/4" to the stirrup side of the string or the trigger side of the string?

Paul, does that look like a hand grip? from what you wrote, it sound like the tac-pac in excal accessories. same kind of attachement used by army/cops/special forces. if you can fix a ril, you can mount them.
