Re: single dot scope?
Well I put my Burris fast fire 2 on this weekend. I like it. I tried different ranges and went with it set at 30 yards. Very close from 0-30 yards. I was really surprised at the amount of drop from 30 to 40 yards but I try to set up for less than 30 yards anyways. I will say that I have had this sig...

single dot scope?
I have a burris fast fire 2 red dot that I have thought about trying on my ibex. Those of you who have done this what are your thoughts. I used to use a single pin set at 25 yards on my vertical bow. Was thinking of trying to zero around 30 yards. The scope that came with my ibex is very precise on ...

Re: Help with first crossbow - Ibex vs. Matrix
I just got an ibex for Christmas and am very happy. I am sure that I would have gone with a Matrix if funds would have been available but I didn't even look at them. I am completely satisfied with the ibex and don't even worry about not getting the matrix now. I asked Danny Miller if I should learn ...

Ibex chrono speed
Today I shot my ibex through a chronograph. I am shooting the fire bolts with 125 grain tips. I weighed them and got 397 to 398 total weight. My 3 shots were 293,289, and 288 fps. I was very impressed as I know the 305 fps advertised speed is with a 350 grain arrow and I also thought that was with a...

Re: Continued Prayer Request ...
Prayers sent. So sorry to hear. I suggest in time to YouTube Charles Swindoll's Trust God sermon that he gave in 2011 at the Dallas Theological seminary.

Should I be worried about noise
Got an ibex for Christmas and have been shooting it. I knew coming from vertical that noise would be increased but for those of you who have hunted with an ibex did you quieten it or hunt with it as is?

Re: Moon
I am in the camp that moon plays a major part in deer movement but not the all in all. Weather, temperature, pressure, rut, and many other things also affect movement so I don't think you can totally go by the moon charts. This is my thoughts from my experiences anyways. It has always amazed me how I...

Arrows?
My family has me an ibex package wrapped up waiting for Christmas. They wrapped it before I got to look at it. My question is what kind of arrows come with the ibex. I know they are the excalibur fire bolts but are they carbon or xx75?

Re: New Excalibur owner that would appreciate any and all ad
Will it hurt anything if I try a 100 grain head just to see how they shoot? Will it make the supplied fire bolt too light and damage bow? I know with a vertical bow you try to have at least 5 grains per pound of pull. Do the excalibur's have a minimum weight of bolt?

Re: New Excalibur owner that would appreciate any and all ad
Thanks everyone. I have looked at the bolt cutters. I may go that route since they are 150 grains. A little smaller cutting diameter than what I am used to.

New Excalibur owner that would appreciate any and all advice
Hello all. I have ordered an Ibex for a Christmas present. I am a long time hunter and bow hunter but this crossbow is totally new for me. I am a MS resident and crossbows during archery season is very recent in this state. I am hanging on to my Mathews vertical just in case but I am excited about t...
