Re: ADF Installation
You'll need to move the arrow retainer from the old scope mount and install it on the ADF. The location of the bolt that holds it down is further forward. It's pretty self explanatory.

Re: ADF Installation
If you have a Harbor Freight nearby you can get a cheap screw extractor set from them. It's really easy to do. Just use the drill bit to drill out the head and insert the reverse threaded extractor to back it out. It takes just a minute or two.

Re: ADF Installation
You may strip a head or two in the process. The bolts have locktite applied from the factory. Lots of solutions if that happens to you. Keeping a small torch handy or the Boo recommended socket set approach can get you out of a bind. A quick search here will uncover the other options. Be aware the a...

Re: Black Eagle Executioner ?
I think you can go with a lighter insert and tip with a 20" arrow. My preference on the 355 is to keep the broadhead from hanging over the stirrup so I went with the 18". Even with the heavier setup, I'm very happy with the speed and groups.

Re: Black Eagle Executioner ?
I'm shooting 18" with 110gr inserts and a 125gr point. Total weight is about 425gr all up. They shoot really well. Folks taking longer shots seem to benefit from getting them spine matched by Big John or South Shore Archery. For hunting out to 40 or maybe 50 yards, the ones from Danny Miller se...

Re: Bubble level
Thanks gentlemen. Looks like I'll be giving Danny Miller a call. Somehow, many of my questions end up that way.

While practicing today I noticed my son canting the crossbow and the influence it has on accuracy. Does anyone else have a level on their bow and if so, how do you have it mounted? I see one online that mounts on the scope tube but I'm not sure I can make that fit on my rig. There might be room unde...

Re: Matrix 355 or 380
I have not had a chance to shoot a "tuned" 380 - flemish string with whiskers, taped stirrup, etc. My guess is the sound difference would not be that great from a 355. There are options now to purchase a bow and build it up as you would like it. This allows people to base their choice on p...

Re: aluminum arrows with a Matrix?
I was going to ask about aluminums and broadhead targets. It sure takes some tugging to get the carbons out of my Rinehart and I'm just shooting a 355. I would imagine the aluminums might be prone to bending.

Re: Matrix 355 or 380
If you shop around and get Danny's bumpers instead of the REDS, you can get the 355 fully decked out with all the same accessories for less than the 380. The additional FPS and camo rail comes at a modest additional cost. Both are very nice crossbows. One gives you a bit more down range energy and t...

Re: bolt suggestion
The Diablo arrows shoot fine but their construction (lighter insert up front, aluminum knock) steers you towards heavier broadheads. Excalibur recommends 150 grain. If you go with Black Eagle Executioners, they have a heavier brass insert and a lighter plastic knock so you can go with 100 or 125 gra...
