I've had good luck with mine. Have you tried adjusting for eye relief?

Re: Gettin' a 355. Couple questions.

Just my opinion but the 380 was released as their flagship produce in 2013 and got the complete bling treatment. The same goes for the 405 in 2014. For the 355 and the 330, they probably know there is a distinct risk of dry fire returns but the cost of installing the ADF on every bow vs dealing with...

Re: Are the Matrix 330 bow kits all different??

I bet if you shop around you can find a 330 at a low enough price that you can add the other accessories and come out pretty close. Danny's bumpers are 50% less than the Excalibur ones and last longer. He also has a pretty good price on the ADF and cheek piece. Cabela's always seems to be one of the...

Re: Wax and string

Waxing the serving will help extend their usable life. That is the only thing I wax with any regularity. I'll inspect the loops from time to time and wax them when I flip ends to even out wear. Very little wax is needed.

Re: Brownell Fury String Material

I'm pretty pleased with XS2. With a 36 strand string I can do 3 bundles of 12 instead of 2 bundles of 20. Although it is smaller, it seems you trade off some strength so it isn't clear there is a reason to use it over XS2. I read something online suggesting it is the same as XS2 except smaller. Don'...

Re: Crossbow Targets

Rhinehart targets color blems can be found for a pretty good price if you poke around. I got the Rhinoblock and can tell it's going to hold up well. Pulling broadheads at 20 yards is a bit of a chore. Just ordered an arrow puller from Danny Miller to make that a little easier. Not sure if it is poss...

Re: Danny Miller's Schedule

Good to see Danny is getting some shooting in! :-) I've relied upon his counsel heavily as most of the others on this forum have. We are blessed to have him in the Excalibur community.

Re: Matrix 380 on a Diet

I like the idea of corrosion proof, strip proof fasteners for obvious reasons. The trigger upgrade is naturally something to consider for more pleasant and more accurate shooting. I'm just not sure that weight will make a huge difference. The new matrix line is so light and shoots so nicely that it ...

Re: BOO String for Matrix 380 or 405

Speed, noise, and least amount of creep are the benefits I would expect. Even if Excalibur were to use the same materials, Boo's expertise brings string construction perfection that is not going to be possible with something that is produced in volume. The quality he produces takes time and experien...

Re: Stopping Reds/Bumpers From Being Cut

I can't imagine it would hurt but I also would expect it to peel off pretty quickly. Maybe something tougher like liquid rope whipping might last longer? http://www.cheaperthandirt.net/product/5-5405592?utm_source=GoogleShopping&utm_medium=organic&gclid=CJf9kLDr3bwCFUOSfgod1hAACw At about $1...

Re: Broadheads

I shoot G5 strykers out of my 355 and they have the same POI as field tips. Arrow weight is kind of high at 425gr but I have no concerns that will have any negative impact on my success in the field.
