Re: Stirrup Noise ?
All of the above mentioned stirrup noise solutions are ok. The stirrup acts as a toning fork magnifying vibrations from the limbs thru the rail. I would suggest a piece of rubber between the stirrup and rail to help reduce vibration before getting to the stirrup. Then consider the other suggestions ...

Re: Ballistics Help
Bryan the best choice of calibers listed for me would be the 45-70. That said a modern rifled 12 ga slug gun with good optics and practice would be hard to beat out to 200yds by any of those cartridges. If you are comparing shotgun vs those calibers for a one time "do all" purchase, extra ...

Re: Anitperspirant and warm feet
For still hunting or short stands about an hour I use Muck Wetland boots with a polypropylene base sock and a pair of heavy SmartWool knee socks. Long stands same socks with Lacrosse Iceman pack boots. I stay warmer with high quality socks and less layers, leaving some wiggle room for my toes.

Re: Leupold Crossbones or VX-1 2-7x33mm LR???
Dan Miller Leupold Crossbones quoted price is $239.00. Best I found anywhere. Dan convinced me the VX-1 fulfilled my needs better.

Warranty Registration Failure????
I was unable to register my new in the box Excalibur Exomax that I just got from Amazon today. When asked to enter the model only the new 2014 models appeared and I was blocked from typing in Exomax and couldn't register. Is this an error or changing warranty policies. I personally don't put much st...

Re: Leupold Crossbones or VX-1 2-7x33mm LR???
I hunt in western Wisconsin wooded hills and farm fields. Hunting in woods I would not expect any shot more than 40yds maximum. My open field stands would give shots 40, 50, 60 yds. But I am 68 and old age taken some of my shooting skills so 40yds is my maximum. The xbones recticle is finer and coul...

Thanks for the info enormous. Called Dan Miller and ordered the VX-1 2-7x33m with Heavy Duplex on his recommendation. Very informative 15 minute talk with Danny.

Leupold Crossbones or VX-1 2-7x33mm LR???
I would appreciate knowing any experience or opinions forum members have on either of these scopes. To be used on my Exomax estimated speeds 320 - 325fps. The crossbones is simple with correct speed settings and recticle is good 30,40,50,60. Does the VX-1 LR with the power setting zeroing the cross ...

Re: Exomax Listing on Amazon
I have been watching Excalibur bow prices on amazon since oldmanstand posted about his $360 Equinox. Amazon seems to select a certain model that has high inventory and a decreasing demand. They reduce the daily listed price by approximately 1% until one is sold. That price was frozen for one full bu...

Exomax Listing on Amazon
Amazon has an Exomax Open Sights #6780 listed for $383.06 with free shipping. I just got an Exocet 200 at Christmas, but couldn't pass on an Exomax at that price.

Re: Discontinued for 2014?
I have no regrets that I bought a now discontinued Exocet 200. Exocet and all Excalibur long limb bows have time tested reliability and performance. Excalibur cannot sit back and fail to evolve their product line or someone will eventually build a better option. Width was the a negative with the dis...

Discontinued for 2014?
Have the Equinox, Exomax, Vortex, Exocet200 and Eclipse XT been discontinued for 2014? I am a new member of this forum and have learned volumes reading topics for a couple weeks. Just got my first Xbow an Exocet 200 this Christmas.
