German Kinetic Silver Flame Broadheads
I see that SSAS is now selling the German Kinetic Silver Flame broadheads. I have heard that they have a great cut on contact design and are extremely sharp and provide excellent penetration. I am wondering if anybody is currently using these broadheads and if so can you share your experiences? How ...

Looking to find out how heavy the Spynal Tapps from SSA are. I would like to find out how much the bare shafts weigh in grains per inch?

Re: Bison Hunt 2015
Hi Keith, The RamCats look pretty solid. I will be checking them out this summer. I was not familiar with the Gold Tip Nitro Pros but will give them a look also. I like heavy bolts and currently use the FMJ bolts at 13.7 grains per inch. The Nitros are a little heavier at 13.9 per inch and a little ...

I have The ProChrono Pal from Competition Electronics and it works very well. I also purchased the UV light array which works great when natural lighting conditions are poor

What’s New for 2016?
So Xmas is right around the corner and I am looking to pick up a new toy. It might be a 380 or 405 but before I decide I am waiting to see if Excalibur is coming out with anything new for 2016.
Has anybody heard anything regarding any new bows that are ready to roll out?

Matrix Off Season Storage
So I just wrapped up the 2015 archery deer season in CT and probably won’t be shooting my 355 again until springtime. Any tips or advise for off season storage? Should I take the string off and relax the limbs?

For the money you can't go wrong with the Morrell's Yellow Jacket crossbow target. Stops them every time. They only downside is field points only.

Matrix Mega Camo Pattern
Does anybody know if the Mega 405 will be offered in alternate camo patterns in the near future similar to the multiple 380 camo choices?
I am interested in picking up a 405 but would prefer to have a different camo pattern from what is currently offered.

Re: Binoculars
Nikon Monarch 5's are excellent binoculars. They are not inexpensive but they are a good value considering the high optics quality. You could spend a lot more on optics that are only marginally better.

Re: Scope Rings, Is There a Difference?
I have the Nikon Bolt on my Exocet 200 and Matrix 355 and for both I use the (LOW) Leupold PRW rings in black matte finish. They work fantastic and are rock solid. They are a little more expensive at $60.00 a set but well worth it!

Re: Recommended Chronographs for Crossbows
So I ended up buying the ProChrono PAL. I also bought the UV light arrays for shooting Indoors. I set it up today in my garage and it worked great. I am shooting an 18 inch Easton FMJ bolt with 2 inch blazers and an 85 grain broadhead for a total weight of 408 grains. Out of my Exocet 200 with an Ex...

Re: What's Your Hunting Arrow Weight?
I am shooting 18 inch Easton FMJ bolts with a 40 grain aluminum insert, standard nock, 2 inch blazer vanes and an 85 grain Brodhead. Total weight is 408 grains. Just picked up my chronograph last weekend so I don’t know what speeds I am getting yet out of my 355 and Exocet

Re: Nikon Bolt XR Crossbow Scope
I have the Nikon Bolt on my 355 and could not be happier. The optics are great and I like the simplicity of reticle. I shoot 18 inch FMJ bolts with an 85 grain broadhead for a total weight of 408 grains. I zero at 20 yards. I am dead nuts at 20 yards, dead nuts at 30 yards and hit 1 inch high at 40 ...
