Re: New X-Bow Set Up Help Requested
Thanks for the info guys. I'm good to go with short bolts here in Virginia. I'll check the wrap once I get the bolts. I like aluminum over carbon, but I'm finding some good pricing on Excalibur Quills, and they are only 16 1/2" in length. Those might be the easiest way to go. Does any one have ...

Re: New X-Bow Set Up Help Requested
Thank you to all for the great information. I walked in the house last night, and there was a big box on my bed! Just like a kid at Christmas, I tore it open, assembled the the Cub and shot my dad in the foot with it. No, just kidding. I did put the Cub together, and I really like the balance ...

New X-Bow Set Up Help Requested
Hey Guys, My new Grizzly Cub is in the mail on the way to my house, and when I get it, I'd like to set it up as close to perfect the first time around, so I don't have to dump a lot of money into trial and error. What I ordered - Just the Cub, and not the package deal. So no quiver, bolts, or scope ...

Re: 16" Bolt for Vixen
How are your bolts set up? What weight broadheads do you use? What is the overall weight of your bolt? Any benefit over an 18" or 20" bolt? Thanks.

16" Bolt for Vixen
I just put a Vixen rail on my ExoMax and I'm lovin it. I can cock the Xbow with out the rope cocking aid and it balances so much better now. The 20" bolt seems really long now though. I was thinking about using 16" bolts, thinking that the shorter bolt would allow for a stronger heavier wa...

Re: Will a Max stock fit a TH stock rail?
Thank you, Danny is the man, it's like he had it there in his hand, the way he could describe the details of the rail and what the differences were between Vixens, Max and Thumbhole stocks. He said all I need to do is swap a straight trigger lever in place of my curved trigger lever to make it work....

Will a Max stock fit a TH stock rail?
I have an Exomax and I'm looking at purchasing a Vixen I rail that was modified by Danny Miller to fit a thumbhole stock. Any idea what mods were made, and most importantly, will my stock fit it? I have a feeling, a call to Danny Miller would work. Does anyone have his number handy? Thanks for any h...

Re: M405 draws first blood on second Tom of the season
Sandman, Congrats on the nice Tom. I have been having a strange season as well. The Toms won't come on my farm. It's funny, I have 1 hen that just about crawls in my lap each time I'm out, but the Tom's only come to the tree filled fence row that separates my farm from my neighbors. They will go all...

Re: New guy with red dot question
Thanks guys for all the help. I have been thinking about putting a compact scope on the Exomax and trying it again this weekend if the weather is nice. I'll take some pics then and see what you guys think. Thanks again.

Re: New guy with red dot question
Please post any PM's here, because I have been notified that I am not authorized to read them. What's up with that? xcalibur- Using the standard bolts that come with the Exomax, and shooting from the kneeling position at 20 and 30 yards, but off the bench at 40 yards. onebigskittle- Thanks and I'm n...

Re: New guy with red dot question
xcalibur- Thank you for pointing out the arrow performance chart. You're right, my point of impact is greater than that referenced on the chart. Would that indicate that my Exomax is shooting slower that advertised? I don't have access to a chrono to find out for sure. georgiaboy- Thank you for the ...

New guy with red dot question
Hello All, I am new here and new to crossbows. I just pick up a barely used Exomax that came with everything except a scope. I had a red dot scope (with single dot) laying around, so I put it on. I had read an article somewhere on line where the author mentioned that he would prefer a single dot sig...
