Re: lighted nock review.....
Red flat lumenocks I have a bit of an issue getting them to tun off and stay off but they certainly work everytime and didn't affect my accuracy one bit.

Re: She ruined my lucky "arra"!
Nice where was the 3D shoot? Relatively new to this the club we are wanting join accepts crossbows they say but seemed apprehensive when I mentioned that's what I shoot.

Re: Turkey days
It should just make the harvest of this guy that much sweeter. At least that what I keep telling myself. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with that issue. I have two spots. One with tons of sign, but they seem to know where the property lines are when I'm around called two in but no dice ...

Re: New Guy Blunders
Hahaha. Well its good to see I'm not alone. I'm getting 327fps with 400grains. I can't imagine needing more than that. Wanting more for sure, needing?, not so much. Unless oak syrup were a thing maybe.

New Guy Blunders
So, I am new to crossbows. I have a used Equinox and I love it. I am also a bit of DIY kind of person within my own limits. I certainly thought stuffing a feed bag for a target was within my capabilities. I've used the target with field points repeatedly without issue. The arrows have never gone thr...

Re: A nice haul from Lake St. Clair
Not a bad haul. This seems to have been a productive winter for ice fishing. I found live minnows to be the best by far as well. Something satisfying about stocking the freezer without going to the store.

Re: ranger finder dumb question
So I was trying to figure this out myself this afternoon. I had been scouting for turkey's using a friends tree stand and was inundated with deer. I was trying to approximate their ranges so I would have a better idea where I would be shooting come the fall. That's when I thought a range finder woul...

Re: Mechanical broadheads.....
I've been looking at the Rage's and noticed they have specific turkey mechanical. I am relatively new to this. Is that just a marketing ploy or is there much of a difference. I understand that its preferable to have the arrow stay in the bird to prevent flight but will the regular Rages work just as...

Re: GoPro Camera
I would agree with everyone above. I don't have a GoPro, I have Sony's Action cam which is similar and I enjoy it. The GoPro's have a ton more attachments and things for theirs. Plus with the sony everything is internal and there is no way to use a mic externally or an external power source once it ...

Re: Turkey spring time close/ favorite mouth call?
Yeah definitely takes a lot. I Just picked up the Quaker Boy three pack and it is not easy. I sound more like some one having trouble breathing then any bird. Good thing its about 6 weeks to still till the season opens.

Re: Turkey's and deer
Counted 70 deer in a field last night, beside a golf course. I counted twice I could not believe it. I'm no expert but it appears as though the area they occupy can't sustain that number and that's why they are all in the field trying to find food. I suspect the coyote population will do well again ...

Re: Most hunters I know would do this!
Perhaps they should issue them all rifles/shotguns to avoid them having to shoot an animal with a .40cal pistol. Besides they get about 2hours a year on the range, not their choice. Its the politicians that control both budget and adequacy standards. Just saying I know quite a few and some hunt and ...

Re: why that broadhead
Based on what I have read, due to the characteristics of broad heads they are less accurate then mechanicals. Is that still the case or have the new ones improved? That is also assuming the mechanical doesn't open in flight.

Re: Anybody used a Chrony app?
Just tried the Bowometry app again at an indoor range. Two others shooting but I waited till they were done shooting before trying it. Got a wide range could have been a sensitivity setting or a placement of the phone. I tried to keep it consistent, but who knows. I got several in 140's, 2 in 640's ...
