Why I never see any ad for any crossbows in the Big outdoor magazines? My wife got me subscriptions to Outdoor Life, and Field and Stream a while back, and I have looked in every issue for ads, or stories. None there. Is it because they won't accept the ads or stories or because nobody has submitted...

From the photo, I would say that they are Boletus. Smooth rounded top, resembling a hamburger bun, no gills on the under side, but a surface that resembles a sponge. The critter is a Fisher. It is a member of the weasle family and one of the only animals that regularly dines on Porcupines. Tough and resorceful animal.
